Tom Behrendt Scraps

January 7, 2013

It’s been a minute since we’ve seen some fresh footage from Tom Behrendt, but it looks like he’s been alive and well. Here’s some scrap clips for an upcoming full edit from the streets of Berlin he’s been busy working on. These clips aren’t all too scrappy, so I’d imagine the actual edit will be damn good.

Banana Split Edit

January 7, 2013

Check out this split edit between Jacob Miller and Lanadrius McCurry sent through of them spending some time freezing their asses off to stack a few clips. It looks like these guys were having a good time and it’s got a good vibe because of it. Check it!

“Ladarius McCurry came up and visited from Georgia for about 2 weeks and we decided we needed to throw something together on the last night before he left (haha) so we came up with this! Filmed in one night, one spot, and who ever wasn’t riding was filming. Super stoked how this turned out haha. So please like, share and, subscribe! Thanks for the support and thank you for watching!” – Jacob Miller

January 7, 2013

I had this one pop into the inbox and I’m glad it did. Check out some chill riding in Peyton Ellwood’s new backyard setup. The setup looks real fun for sure. Definitely worth a peek.

Skatepark of Tampa Fourth Annual Roast Jam

January 6, 2013

Here’s another look at what went down at this years SPOT Roast contest. Don’t forget to check out the video we dropped a little while back right here after this one.

“The fourth Annual SPoT Roast went down in late December at the Skatepark of Tampa (SPoT). I hadn’t been to the legendary SPoT in about 12 years, so I was pretty stoked to go back. Profile’s Matt Coplon put together a pretty amazing weekend including a bowl jam, multi-age am and pro park contest, BBQ, and an afterparty at The Bricks in Ybor City. A lot more people showed up than were expected, which wasn’t a problem since the SPoT is designed for huge crowds. With elevated bleachers surrounding the course, an outdoor courtyard, a massive vert ramp, plus a separate building holding the bowl and another street course, there was plenty of room for everyone. Everything ran smooth and the contestants seemed to be pretty happy about the massive amounts of prizes donated by Profile, Shadow, Subrosa and Vans, along with a host of other BMX brands.

SPoT Roast was the first stop of the Florida BMX Skatepark Series Dave Brumlow put together. BMX in Florida is always a good time so check out the other upcoming dates 1/12 Orlando Skatepark, 2/16 Paradise Funplex, 3/16 COA Pro, and 4/13 Kona.

Here’s a pretty rad combo for a quick edit. Check out Diogo Santos and Adam Kun teaming up for a quick street and flatland mix at what appears to be a real nice colloseum in sunny Sevilla.

Oh hell yeah. This is awesome. Charlie Crumlish has been busy stacking clips of Aaron Ross, Devon Smilie, David Lampman, Chris Kowaleski, Clint Zabodyn, Tom Dugan, Jared Swafford, Seth Peterson and more around Austin, Texas for this new ESPN BMX. With a crew like this, it’s impossible not to enjoy this. Hit that play button and get stoked!

Scotty Cranmer on Hyper Bicycles

January 6, 2013

Scotty Cranmer Hyper Bicycles BMX

When it was announced the other day that Scotty Cranmer would no longer be riding for Felt, I instantly started running brands through my head that he could possibly end up riding for. I wanted to call it out when I made the announcement about him being off Felt that he would be riding for Hyper as my guess, but I wasn’t fully confident in the prediction. Then, I received the press release confirming my prediction announcing that Scotty indeed would be riding for Hyper. Looks like I’m pretty good at this guessing game, haha.

“Hyper Bicycles is proud to announce that Scotty Cranmer has joined our family of elite Riders. Scotty
shares his home base of New Jersey with Hyper, making this a natural connection. His dedication to the
sport, devotion to advancing his already world class skills, and a great attitude make him a perfect fit.

Scotty has been riding for 18 years, the last 10 as a Pro, and has reached the top level of the sport with
six X-Games Medals, including three Golds, and consistent top finishes in Dew Tour events, including a
Tour Championship in 2011. Now at the age of 25 he is a contender for the win at any event he enters
and is well known for his innovative and aggressive riding style. Scotty still makes his home in Jackson,
NJ where he and his family operate the Incline Club Skate Park. When he is not on his bike, Scotty is into
English Bulldogs, pianos, guitars and cars.

Clay Goldsmid, Hyper Owner and CEO says “I have been a friend and fan of Scotty’s for years and am
very happy to have him on our Team. He is exactly the kind of fierce competitor and quality individual
that we want on a Hyper.”

Scotty had this to say “I am so proud and honored to be able to say that I am now riding for Hyper
Bicycles! I have always been a big fan of both the products and the people behind the company. It feels
really good to be a part of a team that has deep roots in BMX, a true BMX brand that strives to deliver
quality product in every aspect of the sport. I can’t wait to be able to represent Hyper Bicycles.”

Hyper has big plans for working with Scotty, including Signature Model Frames and Complete Bikes.
Follow Hyper and Scotty on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram for more news regarding this exciting
partnership.
