Only a few hours after Pat Casey’s teaser popped up, Cory Wiergowski’s teaser for his section for The Hunt pops up. It looks like Cory did some traveling with Greg Moliterno to film for their section. I’m looking forward to seeing what they were able to come up with. Should be wild.
Kye Forte recently teamed up with Samsung to get himself into the Guinness Book of World Records for the High Jump on a BMX Bike. They had Leo Forte build up a rad kicker setup that sent Kye up 6.38 meters (20′-11″) for the record. Check out this video giving you a look at it all go down.
Serious question… How do you become an officiator for Guinness? That would be a sweet job.
“Kye Forte has recently smashed the world record for BMX High Jump in the latest #Breakfree film from Samsung and Jam. The previous record for the highest ramp jump on a bicycle had been 5.6 meters and Kye managed 6.4!As part of the record attempt, he was allowed 3 goes. He managed it within 2!
Samsung helped Kye, a globetrotting BMX superstar, realise a life-long dream to jump his bike more than 6 metres in the air. Throughout the film, Kye and his brother Leo use Samsung Galaxy Notes to scout locations, plan, design and build a bespoke ramp before they shatter the previous world record by more than a meter. It’s the first time that Kye has worked with a tech brand but as he regularly uses the handset was happy to be use the technology to attempt the record.

For this week’s feature I wanted to do something different and put together an exclusive gallery from the time I spent working on the #MCNLBC article for Soul Magazine. I went through my folder of files and ended up stumbling upon this mix of photos that seemed to work well together. Whenever you invest a decent amount of time into a project you are always going to have an overload of photos that end up sitting around for no reason other than the fact that you can only fit so many photos in a single article in a magazine. Instead of letting them disappear into the darkness of my archives I figured I would let them see the light of day and get some shine time. Sit back, grab a drink and enjoy the gallery.
This is the house that the MacNeil team had rented in Long Beach when they came out to work on the #MCNLBC project. They had the house for a total of six weeks and riders flew into Cali to come out and work on filming and shooting photos. The place was actually a fully furnished rental property and was super dialed. Besides the crazy cleaning lady trying to get everyone kicked out things were pretty chill at the house.
Well, the bar just got set REALLY high for this round of The Hunt. It looks like Pat Casey teamed up with filmer and editor JC Pieri for his entry in this round. All I know is between Pat’s talent and JC’s talent, this section will be pure fire. I believe entries are due soon, so I’d imagine more of these teasers will be popping up soon.
