Video: Tony Malouf

Tony Malouf is one hell of a recognizable name on both sides of the camera. Over the years he’s rode for numerous brands and there’s probably hundreds of hours of his footage floating around the internet and in DVD’s. I’ve known Tony for many years now and I’ve definitely had the chance to get to know him well enough to say he’s a good asset to the BMX industry. The endless amounts of motivation to create something is clear and that’s what BMX is about; creating BMX in your own way. I know a lot of kids out there want to know what it takes to make it as a filmer in the industry, so I shot him some questions about how he got into the filming game, what he has for a setup, his current projects along with some other questions about his rider and team manager roles. Check out what he has to say, some real good photos by Jake Geisel and David Leep and a few videos. Don’t forget to leave some love in the comments or “Like” this too.

Etnies Signing and Demo Edit
“On 11th August, the Etnies team came to Kingston as part of their European tour. After a signing at the Etnies store on Fife Road, the team headed to Kings Field to give the crowd a demo of their moves. Despite the rain as the demo started, we were treated to an awesome show.
Digitalbmx is hosting another exclusive giveaway competition! Etnies have donated a pair of Number mid shoes (Aaron Ross’s signature footwear) and a corporate tee for one lucky winner. On top of that, we’re throwing in a “This is United” DVD signed by all members of the Etnies team.

Vans – Simpel Summer Session 2011
“Having started out as just a local jam, Simpel Session events have worked their way up to become one of the best contest in the World of BMX bikes. And not because of the massive media coverage or hefty prize purse, but more for its ability of attracting the biggest names in the business, a brand new course which never fails to impress, a laid-back vibe and the feeling of a big BMX party.
Unlike Simpel Sessions in January/February, StadiSession is an outdoor event, so there is hope for warm sunny weather, breezy hang-outs in the greenery and a lot of spontaneous street riding on the great streets of Helsinki.
Simpel Summer Session 2011 Finals results in Stadi – Helsinki!
