It has been a little while since we’ve seen a fresh BMX video from Ivan Nikolaev, and it turns out that it is because of a shoulder injury that has had him off his bike for a bit. To celebrate his birthday, the Stress BMX crew dug into their archives and put together this real solid edit of some of Ivan’s older clips from a few years back. Despite being a little bit old, these clips are real solid, so hit play and take a look!

FBM CLOSING ITS DOORS AFTER 18 YEARS

It’s a new year, and we’ve seen some shake ups with sponsorships, but here’s some news we weren’t expecting to be talking about this morning. Steve Crandall has just announced that FBM will be closing its doors after 18 years of riding, manufacturing BMX bikes in the U.S.A and plenty of partying. This news is definitely a bummer since it’s one of those brands you just feel good about. They put in a lot of work to put out a good vibe and make BMX look fun. Unfortunately it wasn’t enough to keep the sales going and the lights on. It’s a bummer to hear this news, for sure. Check out the official word from Steve down below…

“FBM started out as a crew.

Just some friends stoked on bikes. Through our curiosity and bike riding fueled smiles, we ended up as a full fledged bike company.

Unfortunately, we have closed the machine shop and FBM will no longer manufacture bikes.

This has been an unbelievably tough decision and we explored multiple options to maintain business as usual but we simply aren’t able to keep moving forward under existing model. That being said, we can’t thank everyone enough for being a part of FBM and helping us get this far in the world. The FBM Machine Shop opened in 2001 and built some of the best parts in BMX for 18 amazing years. You helped us build fun and share the message of community, positivity and DIY good times and we appreciate the support more than I even know how to express.

And since we started as a a crew, some day we will finish as a crew.

At it’s core FBM is built around friendship, and the spirit of FBM will live on forever, in our hearts, as a lifestyle and as an idea.

The heart of FBM is the people and that will never change. But FBM isn’t just for the people, it IS the people.

What we’ve all done collectively has been pretty powerful and inspiring.

After re-reading the statement a few times, it sounds like FBM might still exist on another level, just not through manufacturing bikes. Maybe they’re going back to where it got its start just making t-shirts? We’ll keep you posted once we hear more.

Madera – Look Both Ways

Madera coming through with a fresh split edit featuring Julius Carrasquillo and Taylor Thompson for your viewing pleasure. These guys have been busy filming for the new Madera DVD, but still managed to bang out this edit loaded with heat. If this is footage they collected on the side, we can only imagine how good their footage will be for the DVD. Hit play and enjoy all of this and get ready for what’s to come!

Filmed by each rider and the bros and then edited by Jeff Klugiewicz, this split edit is a testament to what you can get done with a ton of hard work and drive. Regardless of real-life obligations like jobs and family, these two Madera homies spent their nights and weekends filming each other for this solid street video.

MarieJade “No Future” Mix Section

Benjamin Hudson – Done Deal

When you see Benjamin Hudson‘s name pop up, you know you’re going to see some real dialed flatland riding. When you see Sevisual filmed and edited the video, you know it’s going to look amazing, too. Benjami and Sevisual teamed up for this new IGI BMX edit that is 4 minutes of pure goodness. Excellent riding and super clean film work. Even if you aren’t big into flatland, this is a BMX video you won’t want to pass up!

“So this is the situation… Our rider Benjamin spent some time in Hungary, so what a great opportunity to get a video project going with the one and only Sevisual, 5 days of filming with 30 plus degrees in some rough spots and a flight ticket waiting as a deadline…Done Deal.

Woodward VIP – Ryan and Jameson Nyquist

Last summer Ryan Nyquist took a trip to Woodward East, which he has done countless times over the years. However, this time around was special because it was the first time he brought his son Jameson to camp to ride and have some fun. As expected, these guys had a blast and there was plenty of dialed riding to take in. We can only imagine what Jameson might be doing in the future if he keeps it up!
