Pascal Lafontaine Bike Check

The other day, our friend and Canadian rider, Pascal Lafontaine, hit us up after his recent trip out of the cold and frozen weather down to sunny California where he spent some time riding and soaking up the sun and heat. Pascal had recently built up a fresh new setup prior to making the voyage south and ended up shooting a bunch of rad photos during his time there. Does your setup change much or are you pretty consistent with how your bike is?
I have had the same setup for like 3 years now because my style doesn’t change… When I change parts or frame it’s because I broke the part. I need to change some parts a lot in a year, but I replace it with something similar each time.

So you recently got hooked up by Social Bike Co. before you made your trip down to California from Canada. How did that all come about? Do you have anything going on with them for 2014 or just a hook up on some parts?
For the moment I don’t have any official sponsors. Social Bike Co. hooked me up with some parts and a frame and I’d like to thank Rob Andrews for that!

Speaking of California. How did the trip go? What did you come out for? Anything special?
I can’t say enough anout this amazing trip! It was the best trip I ever had because I met so many riders like sean Morr, Shawn Mcintosh, Tony Neyer and many more. I also met some local riders who show us some street spot to film. The premiere of “THE HUNT” was also freakin’ dope! I think the best things that happened to me was being able to film for a video with Miles Rogoish and meet filmers like Nate Richter. The clips that I filmed with Nicolas are the best of what I could do, so I hope you’re going to like the 20 minutes of footage split in 4 videos coming soon.

Do you have any more trips in the works you are getting excited for?
Rob Andrews talked about getting me in the U.K, but there’s nothing sure for the moment. I travelled a lot this past year with Paris, San Diego and Long Beach, so for the moment, I’m broke but I’m suppose to go back in Long Beach in May with some friends.

I know you mentioned you had a few videos in the works that we can expect to see soon. Care to give us a little hint about what’s to come?
Yeah fore sure! Like I said before, we had 20 minutes of good clips to drop so we decided to make 4 videos to separate the 56 clips. The first edit is gonna include a bunch of lines but for the second video, I decided to put all the drops, so you’ll see all the work that Nicolas and I have put in from 5 months ago up unti now including some huge stair drop and roof gap.

Anything else you have planned for the new year you can tell us about?
I’m currently filming with my friend Charles Rémillard for an indoor skateparc video due to the winter but we have a lot of good clips. No sponsor projects for the moment but I have a bunch of clips to introduce a welcome edit and more with a company if I have to. I’m going to continue to film in Long Beach in May as well.

How can people keep up with you these days? Are you on Instagram, Twitter and what not?
