Paul Cvikevich Bike Check

The Take‘s Paul Cvikevich might have one of those names that really sticks out and is kind of hard to say, but that has nothing really to do with this. Paul has been coming up this past year with some real solid edits and in general real good riding. We decided it was a good time to hit Paul up about what he’s riding these days so let’s check out what makes his bike and find out what else is going on in the guys life…

Modifications:
Keep everything pretty stock.

What’s the oldest part on your bike? Front hub.

What parts do you change out the most? Why? Bar ends. Dropping the bike, and wrecking usually does the trick.

Do you have any weird things you do to the bike to make it feel right for you?
Just make sure the bars are in the right spot, I am always pretty OCD about that. I always try and keep my bars on when I travel and it’s always hard to change my stem just because I want my bars where they last were.

How are things going with The Take? Does Jeff have any trips or anything in the works with you coming up?
Things are going really well with the take. Jeff is an awesome TM. The frames and the dudes on the team are awesome. A lot of them I have known since I was growing up so its awesome. We are always talking about trying to get something going, we will see what this spring and summer brings.

How are things going with Coalition? Does Matt have any trips, edits or anything like that cooking for you?
Things have just started with coalition and I am more than excited to be part of the fam. Everyone I have met is awesome. Every one is super positive and kills it on a bike. I’m heading down to California in December so we are going to link up and do some riding/filming for sure. Other than that, just keep filming and having fun.

It sounds like the west coast has already been getting dumped on with crappy weather. What are your plans for the winter? Anywhere you hope you can get to?
For the past like 5 years I have been living out in Oregon, and it’s been super wet so far this fall and winter. It’s really hard to complain though, because the summer and fall here are so, so amazing. I’m going to be in California for two weeks in December, then back to New York for the holidays. So I will be getting some nice warm Cali weather then back to the cold. Both places I’ll get to see some really good friends and ride a bunch so I’m really excited.

You have been pretty consistent with edits over the past year. When can we expect to see some fresh footage of you popping up?
I am currently filming an edit for The Take. Also got some footage in the Goods BMX video “Shred Bonner”. The Video is dropping shortly and has a ton of awesome footage of every one in the North West riding, chillen, and having fun.

What have you been up to when you aren’t riding these days? Work? School?
I am about to be finishing a degree in graphic design in June, which I am so happy about. It’s been a long journey. School has taken a good chunk of my time. Trying to find some design work always. Check out my site paulcdesigns.com. Other than school I am just hanging out with my girl, friends and always trying to have fun.

I noticed you have been on your Twitter game lately. Why should people follow you?
Follow me to get a little glimpse of my life and all my friends crazy lives. Also it’s a super rad way to keep up on stuff and talk shit haha.

Follow Paul! @PaulyC

What’s the last song you heard, movie you watched and website you visited?
My People by Webbie, Robber, Pandora.

Do you have any shout outs or thanks?
Jeff DuPaul at The Take, Matt Colisch at Coalition, my parents!, Chester Blacksmith for being a solid dude and good friend, Shad at Goods, Chris Zep aka z-rig, my girlfriend for putting up with my shit, everyone I ride with on the daily, Burnside, TJD, BMXFU, NWC.

Anything else you want to say?
Everyone throw out a prayer, good vibe, or whatever you got to for my buddy Dane Searls. Stay positive and have fun!
