Let’s help Pete Greaves raise money for Motor Neurone Disease research!
It’s always hard losing somebody close, especially when it comes to family. Pete Greaves lost his brother to Motor Neurone Disease (MND) recently and it has motivated him to help raise awareness and funding for research to help try to fight the disease. Pete decided to put together a great video explaining a little bit about his goal and why he’s doing it, while giving you a treat of a dialed new riding video in exchange for your attention. If you’re digging the video and want to help Pete meet his goal of £2,000 (which he’s already SUPER CLOSE), you can donate right here!
“I had a load of footage sitting around and after I’d edited it up I decided to try and raise money for a cause that’s very close to my heart instead of just sticking it on the internet as usual.
I lost my younger brother Dave to Motor Neurone Disease last year. Dave got me into BMX and still took a keen interest in what was happening right up until he became ill, even though he quit riding a good while ago after getting a string of injuries.
He was a serious hip hop head and this vid uses one of the tracks he always told me I needed to use for a video: Tonights da Night, by Redman.
I won’t go into the details of MND (or ALS/ Lou Gehrig’s disease as it is known in the US) here but you can read more on my fundraising page: http://www.tinyurl.com/bikeagainstmnd
The vid is filmed in Newcastle, Amsterdam, Barcelona, Austin, Paris and Copenhagen and I just want to say a quick thanks to anyone who showed me around those places – the reason I decided to add the fundraising element is because I find BMXers are super generous with time and inner tubes, so probably cash too!” – Pete Greaves
