When we see a video pop up from somebody we haven’t seen much of, there’s usually a story behind why from life getting in the way, injuries or illness. Poiss Barbier dropped us a link to a video that shows the riding he has been filming the past nearly 2 years as he battled anorexia. It sounds like Poiss has gotten things back under control and his recovery has allowed him to enjoy riding his bike again, which is amazing. Hit play to check out the clips! There’s so many gems in this. Take a look!
“After 3 years dealing with Anorexia, being too weak & cold to ride my bike. I’m proud of what accomplished in 2020.
During the last 20 months, I’ve gained 2 pants sizes, happiness, strength & motivation to ride my bike.
Filming these clips was not easy with a full time job in a supermarket a lockdown & chronic fatigue & water retention due to my body using all the energy from food to recover from 3 years off eating disorder, I had to eat A FUCKING LOT.
This is not my best riding, but damn, it feels good to finally put a video part online.
2020 was crazy.
Thanks to everyone who believes in me, & my friends Bevan Cowan, Jesse le Sommer, Victor Drandov, Robin Barraud & Leo for the filming job around Barcelona, Lyon, Paris, Colognes, Lisbonne.
I’ll do better in the future, but i’m more than proud of this one.” – Poiss Barbier
