With the release of Alex Donnachie’s insanely good ALVX Promo video today, we figured it would be a good time to take a closer look at his signature frame from BSD that is finally out! The frame features gussets on the top and down tubes, a Mid bottom bracket, an integrated seat post clamp with the Horizontal Cut System, extra wide seat and chain stays with rounded bridges, ovalized seat stays at the bridges for extra clearance, welded on caps on the stays at the drop outs for more peg clearance, 5mm thick drop outs and NO brake mounts. The ALVX frame comes in top tube lengths of 20.3″, 20.6″, 20.8″ and 21″ with colors of translucent blue, clear coat raw and flat black and a weight of 5 lbs. even!

Gussets on the top and down tubes for strength!
An integrated seat post clamp using the Horizontal Cut System which relieves stress on the frame and requires less pressure to keep your seat post tight than if there was no cut.
With such a short chain stay length (12.5″ – 13″) they had to round the seat and chain stay bridges and move them in a bit to get the clearance needed for the tire. They have ovalized the chain stays at the bridge which helps give even more clearance so you will have no problem running a 2.40″ tire in the back.
Plenty of room for pegs and nice caps on the ends of the stays for a clean look!
The ALVX frame comes in translucent blue, flat black and clear coat raw!
