Since we dropped a BIKE CHECK with Mark Mulville yesterday, we figured it would be a good time to take a closer look at his new Silva II signature frame from Subrosa. This full 4130 chromoly frame has a 74.5-degree head tube angle, 71-degree seat tube angle, 9″ stand over height, 11.6″ bottom bracket height and a 13.75″ (13.5″ slammed) chain stay length. The frame features double butted top and down tubes, a gusset on the down tube with a stamped Subrosa logo, curved seat and chain stay bridges for larger tires, flattened stays at the drop outs to fit hub guards better, 5mm thick heat-treated drop outs, a heat-treated head tube and bottom bracket, an integrated seat post clamp and removable brake mounts. The Silva 2 is available in 20.5″, 20.75″ and 21″ top tube lengths, colors of matte black and chrome and a weight of 4.8 lbs. (20.5″).
