Products: Vol. VII

June 2, 2012

It’s that time of the week and you are probably itching to take a look at a few fresh products that you want to dial your bike in with. For the seventh edition of Products: we have Deluxe‘s Bar End Extenders, Division Brand‘s C-Bahs bars, the new Hoffman t-shirts, Profile Racing‘s Spline Drive sprocket and Fit Bike Co.‘s Blade II fork. Since the sun is shining and the weather is perfect where I’m at, I’ll just leave it at that and talk to you guys later… Okay, I’m kidding. Let’s take a look at the goods!

Here’s one that has been out for a little while, but is a real good idea. Deluxe produced these fancy bar end extenders for those of you looking for a little extra width, or to fix that mistake you made with the hacksaw. These CNC machined 6061-T6 aluminum extenders work like regular bar ends, where you just slide them in to the end of your bars and lock it down with a grub screw. However, they are designed so they add a half an inch on each side of your bars. These gems come in black, anodized blue, anodized red and silver. If you are confused about how they work, check out this little tutorial here.

You can pick these up online direct from Deluxe on their Online Store for £14.99, but they are currently sold out of black and polished. I can imagine they will be getting a fresh batch of these cooked up soon though. Deluxe should be announcing a new U.S distributor here soon, so expect to be able to have your local shop here in the U.S get you a set soon enough.

You can find out more about Deluxe on their website — DeluxeBMX.com

There’s no doubt that the Spline Drive sprockets have taken off in the industry the past two years or so. Profile Racing started things off by combining their legendary 48-spline 19mm crank spindles and eliminating the need of a sprocket bolt or sprocket spacer. The 7075 aluminum Spline Drive Sprocket has a hardened chromoly steel insert that matches up to that 48-spline 19mm spindle so all you have to do is slip it on and you are good to go. Eliminating play and unnecessary work.
The sprocket is available in two versions, a 1/8″ tooth version that comes in sizes of 23, 25, 28, 30, 33, 36, 39 and 42 tooth versions with a long list of color options. As a note, this Mark Mulville signature camo colorway comes in 25 and 28 tooth only.
Profile also offer a 3/32″ version that comes in 18 and 20 tooth versions for the flatland guys out there in red, blue, gold and black only.
On a side note, I’ve personally been running this sprocket for over a year now and I absolutely love it. I haven’t had a single problem with it and I never have to worry about it coming loose.

You can pick one of these sprockets up for $67.95 direct from Profile, or you can pick one up on Dan’s Comp for $64.99. If you would rather have your local shop order you one up, have them get ahold of Profile direct and they will take care of you.

It’s always a good time to pick up some fresh threads. I know, that lucky t-shirt you have with the pit stains, rips and shit is awesome and you have landed a bunch of tricks for the first time wearing it, but it’s getting weird. Hoffman Bikes just dropped four new shirts for you to try on; the Cloud XIII, Dig It?, New Classic and OG HB. The shirts are printed on Hanes %100 Cotton, tagless Nano-t which are slimmer fitting, real soft and lighter so it’s dialed for the summer.

You can pick these up on the Sidewall Action Sports website, Dan’s Comp or have your local shop here in the U.S hit up Sidewall Distribution to get some ordered up for you.
