Products: Vol. XIII

Yesterday was Friday the 13th, and now today we have the thirteenth edition of Products! This week we’re going to take a look at the Cinema Wheel Co. VX front hub, Sunday‘s Forecaster frame, the Hoffman FL stem, Fit‘s McIntosh pedals and Deluxe‘s Pom Pom sprocket! Let’s get into it!

Yesterday it was announced the Cinema Wheel Co. had released their new VX front hub that prototype samples have been popping up on the team riders bikes from the last six months or so. This 6061 hub shell features angled and variable width flanges, a SUJ2 female axle which is harder than chromoly, 7075 press-on cones and 3/8″ chromoly female bolts (6mm allen / 17mm). The VX front hub is available everywhere Cinema is available now and comes in colors of orange, purple and black.

The hubs will be available through Dan’s Comp in the next few days. If you can’t wait until then to get one ordered, have your local shop hit up Greenhouse to get you one ordered up.

Sunday‘s Forecaster frame has been real popular since it’s release. It’s no wonder since the frame features a 75-degree head tube angle, 71-degree seat tube angle, 11.5″ bottom bracket height, 8.5″ stand over height and a 13.130 (slammed) / 13.25″ (center of drop out) chainstay length. The Forecaster features the classic 41-Thermal heat-treating process, the double butted Wave down tube, Wave gusset at the downtube, post-weld machining on the bottom bracket, director style wish bones, a double butted seat tube, tapered chain and seat stays, 5mm thick drop outs, angle removable mounts with the pressure fit cable guides, the Black Magic anti-rust pre-coating and a removable Sunday seat post clamp. The Forecaster is available in black magic, Foxtrot Green, Ketchup red and purple with a weight of 4.63 lbs.

It’s awesome to see Shawn McIntosh getting some signature parts these days. Well deserved! His latest are the Mac pedals from Fit. These cold forged aluminum pedals feature a multi-directional concave design with a foot contour angled body, sealed bearings, 12-pins on each side for plenty of grip, a protected and recessed end cap and a chromoly spindle that accepts a 17mm, 15mm boxed or 6mm hex to tighten or loosen them. The Mac pedals are available in black, blue, red, silver and white with a weight of 19.6 oz.

Are you in the market for a new front load stem? Have you checked out the FL stem from Hoffman Bikes? This lightweight stem features extra machining along the sides and the double bar clamp for extra weight savings where less material is necessary and a 50mm reach.
