Products: XXVI

October 13, 2012

We’ve been going with the Products: column for 26 weeks now. Can you believe it? I can’t. Either way, it’s Saturday again so as you can imagine we’re not about to go and screw up our record just yet. This week we’re going to take a closer look at Van Homan’s signature VH3 frame from FIT, the Fantastic Plastic peals from Colony, the Envy complete bike from Wethepeople, Profile Racing‘s 40 Stem and the Straight Pull cassette hub from Tree Bicycle Co.. Let’s get into this!

Looking to get yourself a new frame, but you want something that can take some abuse? The 3rd version of Van Homan’s signature frame might just be what you are looking for. This American made street machine made with butted True Temper Supertherm tubing is designed with a 74.5-degree head tube angle, 71-degree seat tube angle, an 8.5″ seat tube length, 11.6″ bottom bracket height and a 13.65″ – 14″ chainstay length. You can also find features like a straight gauge tapered seat tube and double bend chainstays, a gusset on the down tube, engraved Key logo head tube, a mid bottom bracket, 5mm thick 4Q baked drop outs, removable brake mounts and an integrated seat post clamp. You can pick the VH3 frame in 20.5″, 20.75″ and 21″ top tube lengths, colors of limited edition gold, translucent grey or translucent teal and Candy red with a weight of 4 lbs. 13 oz.

You can pick one of these frames up for $389.99 from Dan’s Comp or you can have your local shop here in the U.S hit up The Building to get yourself one.

Want to get a new stem but you can’t decide if you want a front load or a top load stem? What if you could do a little bit of both? The 40 stem from Profile Racing gets its name from the 40-degree angled cap.
