Jason Enns has had a real busy year. Finishing up with his Demolition “Last Chance” part that turned out real good, his signature 10 Year Anniversary Destroyer frame from Volume are just two of the things he’s been getting into lately. I figured it would be a good time to see what he’s up to these days. Let’s take a look at what he had to say…

Name: Jason J. Enns

Location: Norco, California by the way of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.

Sponsors: Volume Bikes, Lotek Shoes, Demolition Parts,

Years riding: 21

How are things going with Volume these days? You must be pretty stoked to finally have your 10-year anniversary frame releasing?
Things have been real good over there these days. I was real excited for the release of the new Destroyer, it turned out excatly the way we wanted and the response was even better than anticipated.

Care to take us through the specs and some of the special features you have of the new version of the Destroyer frame?
It comes in 21″ only, 75 degree headtube, 13.75 rear end that fits the Demolition Momentum 2.35 with room to spare. A classic double wishbone rear end design weighing in at 4 pounds and 14 oz’s.

Outside of the frame, does Brian have anything in the works with you and the team? I heard rumors of a possible Volume video?
There is definitly rumors floating around of a Volume Vid, and there may or may not be some amazing footage already logged.

How have things been going with Demolition now that the stress level is down now that the video is complete? Do you have anything from trips, edits, signature goodies or anything coming up?
The stress level is def way down now that the vid is done and out, haha. Things seem real good over there right now with a bunch of new and updated products in the works. There is talk of a Demolition reunion tour witht the whole crew from the original Demo vid, so I’m really hoping that pans out, would be a blast

What’s new with Lotek these days? Do you have anything cooking with Rich you can tell us about?
Def looking forward to the new Lotek season, got a few new models coming out with new soles and insoles. I can’t wait to get my feet into some of them new joints.

So now that Last Chance has been out for a while now, and I feel like you have watched your part at least 69 times, how do you feel your part came out? Would you go back and change anything at all? I personally was real impressed with your part.
Thank you. After any vid is done i feel like i could/should have done more, and this one was no exception. I would have change a few things forsure, but now im just gonna focus on my footage for the rumored Volume vid. I’m really hoping to have a stronger part in that now that I can focus on my riding without worrying about TM duties as well.

Have you been filming for any other videos or web edits at all? When can we expect to see some fresh footage of you?
I got got a little bit of footage stacking up, I have been working on a vid for Lotek, so hopefully I can wrap that up in the near future.

It seems like you were really motivated to ride hard this past year or so when you had that project over your head. Did you feel like you had to remind the younger guys on the team why you have been on the team for 10 years by dropping hammers or what?
Haha, nah, everybody on the team is awesome. Everybody has a different style and I just try to keep doing what I’m doing, and push myself.

What is your travel schedule looking like for the rest of the summer? Anywhere in particular you want to get to?
Not too much planned as of right now, hopefully get out to Denver on a Volume trip in the near future. I would really love to get up to Vancouver sometime this summer. I haven’t been back in so long and there are countless new parks that look amazing.

I like to ask this one… Let’s say you got a big budget with a van and you can bring 5 riders, one filmer and one photographer on a trip anywhere for a week. Where do you go, who do you bring and why?
Rooftop, Osato, Biz, Doyle and Dillewaard as riders, just because they are my favorite people hang out with. I would have to have Glenn PP filming and Keith Mulligan shooting. I’m pretty psyched right now just thinking about this trip. I’ve been wanting to get back up to Alaska forever, dream trip right there.

I’m sure I’m going to hear a knock on my door and open it to a punch in the face by you for this one, but how do you feel about Boston taking the cup this year? Have you recovered from the pain since it’s been a while now?
Well, the Canucks had the best season ever, so regarless of the turn out it was an incredible season to follow. Boston taking it in game 7 was definitely heart breaking. I wouldn’t have minded as much if the final game was at least a battle. I’m pretty much over it now, haha. I’m just looking forward to this season and the return of my hometown team The Winnipeg Jets.

How’s that Twitter life treating you? How do you have fewer followers than me? Why should people follow you?
I was just saying the other day that I can’t believe I never used to have one. I was missing out on so much, haha. I don’t know why people should or would follow me, I don’t Tweet too much and when I do I’m sure it’s not very interesting to anybody, haha. My followers are climbing. I’m hoping to make a 1000 before Dillewaard makes 2000.

Let’s say somebody offers you $1,000,000 to cut off Biz’s right arm. Do you do it? What about for like $10?
Nah, we play this game all the time, but usually involves doing things to ourselves. I might have to consider cutting off my own left arm for a mill.

What have you been up to lately other than riding and screaming at your TV?
Working on my Ping Pong, counting down to Hockey season.

Neil Young Rocking in the Free world is on the radio right now, can’t even remember my attention span was long enough to make it through a movie, and I have been on petfinder.com a lot lately, looking for another bad bitch.

What’s something about yourself that might surprise people?
I’m Mexican

Anything I missed you want to say?
Thanks
