Woof, sorry for the slow weekend. I promise I’ve got a bunch of good stuff lined up for this week. Let’s start this good week off with one of BSD‘s newest pro team members and all around street destroyer, Reed Stark. I figured since he’s been chilling for a bit nursing his foot, that it would be a good time to catch up with him and find out what’s new. Let’s see what he has to say. I think some of you might be psyched to hear about some things in the works…

Name: Reed Stark

Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota

Sponsors: BSD, Sun Ringle, The Gully Factory, Team Dilly

Years riding: 10

How are things going with BSD these days? Word on the street is you have some signature stuff in the works?
Everything’s going great! Grant recently made the decision to start filming for a team DVD. With Dave Sowerby and Tony Malouf behind the lens I can’t imagine it would turn out anything less than super ultra mega gwarchy. Sig parts are in the works! You’ll have to wait and see what’s good with those though…

Does Malouf have any trips lined up for you that you are looking forward to? I can’t imagine you will be stuck here in Minnesota all winter like me.
Haha yeah BSD is taking a trip in January to Cali and AZ to film for the dvd.

What’s good with Sun rims? Does Wells have anything cooking for you? I know there’s always some sort of trip in the works.
Sun Rims keep me rolling so proper! There’s been talk about a trip happening at some point next year with a crew of stellar individuals. Hopefully school doesn’t stop me from going.

Any other sponsor news you can tell us about?
David Grant is on BSD!

So the Team Dilly Is The Man trailer hit the internet the other day and it looks like people are psyched. What can people expect from your part? Will it be a total let down or what?
I unfortunately got injured a couple months ago and didn’t get the chance to scratch some things off my list, but I’m stoked on the clips I have so far. 3 years in the making… Let’s just say I tried to lay the “hammerdown”

Ben Austin

Have you been filming for anything else that we can see coming up sooner or later?
I have a couple clips in The Level Below‘s upcoming edit when they took a trip to Minnesota. Expect that out whenever Jeff K and Logan Reynolds stop slacking! *taking shots*

You have been on the low down for a little while now with an injury. What did you do? Are you getting back into the swing of things yet?
I was doing a crankarm slide on this junkspot fence-rail, looped out, and hurt my foot. I got x-rays and they said it was just a bruise, but I haven’t been able to walk properly for a minute. I’ll hopefully be fine before Cali which is what really matters.

Other than this California trip, what do you have cooking as far as trips in the future? Going over to Scotland again anytime soon?
There’s a chance I’ll be going to Scotland in May to go on the 5th Ride to Glory, but that’s pretty far in the future.

2011 was a damn good year for you, getting picked up by BSD and traveling all over the world to ride your bike. Is it kind of surreal for you still?
Yeah, it’s really easy to get caught up in all of it, but it’s been amazing. I feel like I’m living the dream! I have so much fun all the time.

How are you managing with college full-time? Have your teachers been pretty cool with your schedule?
Each year school gets more and more difficult so I tend to ride less often. This makes it so when I actually have time to ride I enjoy way more, which is good. Variety is key.

Other than riding and homework, what have you been up to?
Team Dilly refers to it as “bro shit”

What do you hope 2012 has in store for you?
A long list of problems I need to find solutions to.

What’s the last song you heard, movie you watched and website you visited?
Song: Lose Control – Johnny Polygon
Movie: Catch Me If You Can
Website: OMS 2550 Business Statistics: Data Sources, Presentation, and Analysis – Firedam practice problem data

Do you have any shout outs or thanks?
Grant Smith, Tony Malouf, Jon Wells, Kyle Stark and the rest of the fam, Gopher Lodge roommates, BMX homies, U of M homies, Roseville homies, friendly party guests who don’t steal, professors that don’t assign homework, etc.

Anything else you want to say?
“Here’s to feeling good all the time”
