Sunday – UK 2014 Shop Stops

October 11, 2014

Just when you thought you saw it all in the Sunday Bikes UK 2014 Video, the guys at Sunday Bikes drop 6 more minutes of pure GOLD from the shop stops and park sessions they got in during the trip! This is one video you will want to hit play on!

“You may have seen our UK tour video a few weeks ago. Well, when Gary Young, Chris Childs, and Mark Burnett weren’t out riding street in the rain they were visiting four rad UK shops – Foundation BMX, Broadribb Cycles, Waller BMX, and The BMX Box – and riding with all the awesome locals we met out there. There was too much good footage from the shop stops not to make another video, so here you go!” – Walter Pieringer

Insight: The Daily Grind – Hub Guards

September 22, 2014

What do you do when you break a part that is supposed to be designed to take abuse? Well, I know most of us will just be pissed, bitch, moan and swear off ever running the product again. But then there is a guy like Jon “Gremlin” Betchtold who decided that if he can’t find something he’s satisfied with, he will just make what he wants himself. After breaking what I could imagine plenty of parts because of how much of a beast he is, The Daily Grind was founded with the goal of producing products that are going to hold up to the heavy abuse that comes from riding street like riders really do it these days. One of the first products that The Daily Grind have offered was their hub guards but, recently, the crew decided to put a two year warranty on them to show just how much faith they have in them. Take a look at the video promo video they just dropped giving you a look at just what kind of abuse they put their guards through to make sure they are good enough for you, along with a look at some scraps for their new “Hard Times” DVD that is in the works. After you watch that, let’s take a closer look at just what make these guards special after the jump…

Panagiotis Manaras on Tinos Island Photogallery

This was one of the first photos we took. Sunset shots are always a treat! Panos spotted this bench, so I set up my camera and flash and he gave it a go! The funny thing is that there was this cafeteria across the street and some people had an eye on what we were doing. About 10 minutes after we had left, Panos received an iPhone photo taken from one of the guys watching us on his Facebook profile of him bunny hopping with a message saying “I saw you! ”  from this dude that we didn’t even know….

Here we go! It’s that time of the year where we try our best to get around to every booth at Interbike. The first day is always tricky trying to figure out where everyone is, but it was pretty easy this year thanks to the crazy Sparky’s booth paint job. So it makes sense to start out there! First up, we’ll kick things off with The Shadow Conspiracy and all of their new product they have along with a few samples of things that may or may not happen! Let’s do this!

Kyle Heaser – Peacock Backflip

May 27, 2014

Here’s a crazy one I spotted on Dustin Grice’s Facebook page a minute ago! Over the weekend Kyle Heaser threw a Peacock backflip at The Factory in Minneapolis. Definitely a crazy one to see!

“Dedicated to his idol Mat Hoffman himself, Kyle Heaser decided that Mat’s signature trick, the “Peacock Air” should be possible upside down in the middle of a flip. After an exciting email from Hoffman Enterprises saying “Mat doesn’t think he’s ever heard of anyone landing a peacock backflip and would love to see a photo or video of it!” Kyle’s inspiration & determination made him decide that Memorial Day weekend was a perfect time to send it here outside at The Factory, our local 100% rider funded ramp warehouse in Minneapolis. Would you like to see him keep working on it ?” – Dustin Grice
