Seth Kimbrough Bike Check

The past few months have been a bit of a rough go for Seth Kimbrough! Between some issues with Vertigo and a broken thumb, we really haven’t seen a lot of him while he was working on getting healthy. Luckily, he’s back on his bike and feeling good, so that’ll be changing pretty quickly.
The other day, Seth built himself up a fresh new bike to get ready for the warmer months that are starting to hit, so we figured it was a good time to check out his bike and find out what’s new with him these days! Let’s take a look!

So you just built up a fresh new setup. What are some of the new things you’re really stoked on?
I’m super stoked on the whole bike really. The color of the frame for sure!

What’s the oldest part on your bike?
I’d have to say the seat. It’s a little faded as you can see.

Do you have any modifications or do you run pretty much everything stock?
Everything stock. I’m stoked on Shadow and Hoffman because I can throw it all together and completely love it from the ground up.

Did you change anything up with your setup this time aroundor are you pretty consistent with how your bike is setup?
Kept it pretty much the same. I feel like things are perfect for me right now, so why tamper with a good thing!

Does your bike need to be setup a certain way for it to feel right or can you run it however?
Bars a little forward and I’m good to go!

You have been killing it with a freecoaster for a while now. How stoked are you seeing so much progression with the designs and the number of riders getting on them lately?
Freecoaster shave been a thing coming for a while. I can’t believe how long it has taken to catch on! I love seeing guys that hated on the coasters for so long now running them! Also with a much higher demand for them now, means more options when it comes to choosing a coaster, and of course better quality!

How has the Shadow coaster been treating you? Any idea when that will be out?
It’s been awesome so far! Not for sure on the date yet, but I would think soon, because it does seem to be pretty dialed in at this point.

Speaking of The Shadow Conspiracy, how are things going with them? I’d imagine they have a bunch of stuff cooking with you for 2014. Any trips or anything you can tell us about?
Things are awesome with Shadow! As they have been from day one. The parts only get better, as well as the whole Shadow family! From the team guys, to everyone sitting at the office putting in the long hours to make the brand as amazing as it is. And as for trips… It’s going to be a busy year! We are filming for a DVD that is planned to drop at the end of the year, so yes, a lot of trips!

What’s new with Hoffman Bikes? It sounds like they have a bunch of new and updated product coming. Any fresh signature stuff in the works for you?
There have been some changes lately for sure. The frames, and parts are dialed. I’ve been supporting Hoffman for almost 15 years now. Still stoked to be part of his dream. Expect good things from Hoffman in the near future.

Anything new with Dan’s Comp? Trips or anything cool like that?
No trips that I’m aware of at this time. The team is rocking, and the support for all the riders is amazing! Such a good thing going on.

You broke your thumb back in December, right? How did that happen?
Ugh! Yes I was on my bike for a bout a week after being unable to ride for almost seven months, when I went over the bars doing a tooth hanger and thumb wrestled a wall.

How long were you off your bike? Are you feeling 100% yet?
As most know, I was off my bike for close to seven months because of a bad case of vertigo ( dizziness) that struck out of the blue. Was riding one week then did my thumb. After three weeks to let that heal up enough to ride, I’m back at it! Feeling 100%!

Have you been filming at all? When can we expect some fresh footage from you to surface?
Hoping to have an edit drop soon. Just starting to get on the film in game again.

I know you’re a motorcycle guy, so I’m sure you’re psyched for the warmer weather. Do you have any trips planned on that beast this year?
Yes, I am a motorcycle guy to say the least! I’m doing a lot of trips to tracks, and always searching for some good twisty roads. Most of my time is spent pulling my motorcycle behind my SUV, with the BMX bike on the trailer also, and a bed in the back. The love for motorcycles and BMX go hand in hand, so I’m beyond stoked to enjoy them both.

Speaking of that. What are you running these days? Any plans of adding more bikes to your collection anytime soon?
As of now, I’m spending most of my time on a 07 Suzuki GSXR 600. I bought the bike for a track bike, but just love it so much I ride it for my street bike as well. I sold my GSXR 1000 and my two bobber bikes because I hated just seeing them sitting when someone else could enjoy them. So as of now I’m down to one, but that could change at any moment, haha!

What have you been up to otherwise? Any new hobbies or anything? Are you still playing music?
Bikes, and more bikes! That’s all I’m really up to. Hoping to get back to music soon though.

How can we keep up with you these days? Are you on Instagram, Twitter and all that?
Instagram for sure @seth_kimbrough
Also on Facebook some. No tweeter.

Do you have any shout outs or thanks?
Thanks to Mat Hoffman for all his support! And anyone who has ever put in work with Hoffman bikes. Everyone at Shadow. Ron Bonner is such a rad friend/boss! Thankful for all his support! And for Dan’s Comp, Scott has his hands full, but still manages to take care of everyone. Also to everyone who has followed me, and supported me in even the smallest way. Thank you!

Anything else you want to say?
That about covers it! Go ride your bike!
