Simple Session has just announced that they will be doing Simple Session 21 this August over in Tallinn, Estonia! Due to COVID, we didn’t get the annual contest that goes down in February, but with the brighter outlook thanks to vaccinations and everything, it looks like they will be able to do an even in August! This will be a smaller, invite only event, but we can imagine it will still be a banger! Check out the trailer up top, then full details down below!
“Simple Session will heat up the Estonian summer this August.
Simple Session 21 will be back in Tallinn, Estonia, on August 20th and 21st for a two-day festival and an all-around good time. The Simple Session series will host an exciting street-focused contest in the hip new Põhjala area – an old rubber factory turned into a cultural hub will serve as a thrilling new location for the event.
A tight selection of the finest BMX street riders and skateboarders from around the world will be invited to go head to head on a fresh Wessel-designed course.
Skateboarding and BMX are all about creativity. So is Simple Session – hosting the series in a whole new venue will take the entire contest experience to another level for athletes and viewers alike. The global health crisis has created obstacles and prevented us from hosting the annual wintertime event, but has, on the sunny side, prompted us to regroup and innovate the series, and we are delighted with the result.
The event celebrates the Estonian Restoration of Independence on the 20th of August, kicking off a long weekend of the best riding and Simple Session antics on and off the course. We are incredibly excited to host riders in the stunning Estonian summer after most athletes have experienced Estonia only in the cold winter months. It’s been 12 years since Tallinn last hosted a Simple Session summertime edition – that’s about to change.
Considering the pandemic, we will be taking health and safety measures very seriously to ensure our athletes, guests, spectators, and team’s safety and well-being.
This will be a boutique event with only a limited number of tickets coming on sale in May on the Simple Session’s website https://simple.session.ee.
Having started as just a local jam, Simple Session has become one of the world’s premier BMX and skateboarding contests. Since day one, the goal has been to create a unique experience for the spectators and athletes alike and become the ultimate rider’s event. Over the years, Simple Session has hosted most of the top BMXers and skateboarders and is now proud to stand out as the most free-spirited BMX and skateboarding events out there, as well as one of the longest standing contests in Europe. The series celebrated its 20th-anniversary last winter.
