Get a look at the new Gulf Coaster hub from Madera BMX…
We’ve been hearing rumors about the new freecoaster hub from Madera for about a year or so now, and we’ve been patiently waiting to find out the full details since the start. If you have been following Madera, then you know they’ve been dropping some sneak peek looks at their new hub that’s going to be called the Gulf Coaster. We don’t have much for information on the specs and details, but from what we’ve gathered, and with the similarities between Profile Racing and Madera, we would imagine it’s very similar to a Z-Coaster hub, with a few tweaks to make it more affordable. We aren’t sure what kind of changes could be made internally since the Z-Coaster seems to be a really reliable hub that mixes a freecoaster and cassette into one.
What we do know is that the Gulf Coaster will be available this month, and we’ll make sure to get the full specs and details out as soon as they are available! Until then, check out a few other sneak peek photos below. After that, if you scroll down a little further, you can check out Dylan McCauley‘s welcome to the Madera Pro team video that came out a few weeks back. Dylan was putting this hub to work for that full video, so you can get an idea of what it can do.
What do you think? Are you curious what’s inside this hub? Do you think it’s a Z-Coaster with some small changes to help keep the price down? Are you thinking about picking one up? Let us know what you’re thinking in the comments below!
