It’s been a while since we’ve seen any sort of special focus on the seat post clamp on a bike. It’s a very basic part, but there are plenty of things that can be done to make it unique. Shape Bicycles over in France have been working on their new clamp for a little while now and decided it would be cool to show you what they’re working on. This clamp is made from AG3 aluminum and is cut using a water jet, which believe it or not is less expensive than actual CNC machining. After that, they gave it some chemical engraving for both styles of logos on the front, and the Shape logo on the top in the back. Finally, they sand and polish each clamp by hand giving it that clean look and slide in the M5 stainless steel bolt to keep that post of yours tight.
This clamp is still in prototype stages, so it currently is unavailable, but I would assume they will be out soon.
Until then, you can find out more about Shape Bicycles and their products by visiting their website

This clamp will be available in two different logo versions.
You can see the detail from the hand sanding and engraving.
The M5 stainless steel bolt really sets it off. You can also see the Shape logo on the top.
Expect this to be available soon.
