Sunday Trails Squad Fall Trip Q&A

Last fall, before the weather shut down all the lines, the Sunday Trails Squad loaded up in the van for a 12 day road trip. The crew consisting of Scot Draper, Chris Hilbrich, Aaron Day, Bobby DeLaat, Logan Beyhl and photographer / filmer Andrew Brady piled into a van in Chicago and made their way to some of the finest trails and skateparks that Chicago, Cleveland, Pennsylvania, New York and Rhode Island have to offer.
The other day the full edit from the trip consisting of 18 minutes of pure goodness dropped online for everyone to check out. We figured it would be pretty cool to get ahold of Scot, Chris, Aaron and Bobby to find out what some of their favorite parts of the trip were. Check out what they had to say, a bunch of photos and the video after the jump!

I had been to all of the spots except Panamoka and Cumby; I can’t wait to hit those spots again!

Everyone on the trip said Panamoka was a pretty wild scene to walk up to. Can you describe what you felt walking up to the jumps for the first time?
“Damn…, looks lippy…”

Who had the best table’s on the trip?
Aaron

Who would you say shredded the most on the trip?
The locals

Who talked the most crap?

Playing 4 player NBA JAM arcade style, checking out cement parks and playing basketball instead, getting real weird with Draper, and hanging with my dog Digger.

Keyko and Posh

Any last words or stories from the trip?
I had the pleasure of singing karaoke with Keith Terra. I hate people who hate Keith Terra.
Circuit BMX. Badass. Period.

Gary Young. The purest definition of a professional. His dedication and skill left me in awe every time he graced his bike. Absolutely amazing and inspiring.

It was a privilege to go on such an awesome trip with such great friends. Much appreciation to the people that made everything possible, and the locals who work so hard day in and day out. And much thanks to Sunday for supporting the rare breed of riders like us.

Panamoka was pretty wild!! Right when we walked up, we saw the craziest lookin lip. It was like 8 foot tall and a foot and a half wide and probably like a 26 foot set. It was awesome.

The weather out there was pretty insane. Lots of rain but the jumps were great, lots of lines.

Who had the best table’s on the trip?
Best tabes goes to Table Top Bob, hahaha.

Who would you say shredded the most on the trip?
Aaron Day shredded pretty hard. He was good everywhere so he can take it home to Cali.

Scot Draper for the biggest trash talker.

When you were not in the trails riding and digging what sort of activities could you be found doing?
When I’m not at the jumps I’m usually workin.

I would have to say Panamoka. That place is amazing. It was the first time I’ve been to all these spots.

Everyone on the trip said Panamoka was a pretty wild scene to walk up to. Can you describe what you felt walking up to the jumps for the first time?
Yeah, dude, it was crazy walking up. I had no clue what to expect and rolling up to 14 dialed was pretty mind blowing. It made me feel like a kid again.

Chillin’, grillin’ and swillin’!

What was one place on the trip that you didn’t get to ride that you really wanted to?
Posh which I’ve been to before, but it was like 6 or 7 years ago. Also, I really would have liked to ride Catty more since we only got one short session. Hazelwood would have been rad too.

Any last words or stories from the trip?
I would like to thank everyone at Sunday and Full Factory for making this possible. And I would especially like to thank the locals at all the spots we went to. I had a rad time.
