BMX Dan Kruk

Ah… BMX Dan. This is one kid I met a few years back and I’ve watched develop from a pretty quiet kid who was pretty good on a bike to a full blown man child that can toss the bars like the best and isn’t scared to send it on anything you put in front of him. There are a lot of stories that come to mind when I think about different times I’ve crossed paths with Dan. Some of the stories are pretty hilarious and probably not ideal to share in an intro. All I’ll say is he has definitely taken his fair amount of shit from some of the finest in the Midwest which has molded him into the kid he is today. After joining the knee club and making a full recovery and getting a ton of travel time in, Dan was bumped up to the Madera flow team last week. We figured it was time to get to introduce this up and comer from the Milwaukee scene to you guys. Let’s take a look at what he had to say.

Dylan McCauley 4Seasons Edit

When the weather is cold in Milwaukee, you go to 4Seasons. Over the winter, Madera‘s Dylan McCauley spent some time filming clips here and there for this new one. If you’re familiar with Dylan, you know he’s a grind technician and this new one is loaded with some pegs. Hit that play button and enjoy!

Profile Racing and Madera Midwest Sessions Flyer

I was waiting for this flyer to drop! If you’re in the Midwest, you’ve got a chance to ride with Profile Racing and Madera team riders; Mike Hinkens, Mark Mulville, Jeff Klugiewicz, Jeff Dowhen, Grant Castelluzzo and Matt Coplon! They’ll be cruising through 4Seasons in Milwaukee Friday, March 1st, then making a trip on over to Minnesota on Saturday, March 2nd to ride the Bluff Valley – Over the Top Skatepark, then making the trip back to Milwaukee on Sunday, March 3rd to ride at Ray’s in Milwaukee.

This isn’t going to be a demo or anything, it’s just a laid back chance for you to come meet and ride with these guys. I’m sure they’ll be tossing out a little bit of freebie product as well. So get stoked! I’ll be at the Bluff Valley stop as well if that even means anything, haha.

Over the years, I’ve seen a lot of different people pick up cameras around here. In all reality, I think that’s one thing that has really stood out from the Midwest scene; the number of recognizable names who not only kill it on a bike, but kill it behind the lens. It’s pretty crazy to think of the dense population of filmers in the Chicago / Milwaukee area that have been doing things even before Youtube and Vimeo or even GoPro cameras to make things so much easier to produce an edit and get it out there… It must be in the PBR or something. One of those guys from that area is Grant Castelluzzo who has had plenty of years of experience behind a camera, but up until this past year or so he started turning it into a job instead of just a hobby. We figured it would be a good time to get ahold of him to find out just how things all got started and how they’re going today. Let’s see what he had to say!
