Despite a “little” rain, the crew at the Crabtree Trails were able to keep them running for this years Trans Jam dirt contest! Check this video Andrew Bryan put together from the day!
“With a storm dumping over 4 inches of rain in less than 12 hours In the Raleigh area the night before the Trans Jam Dirt Contest was scheduled to happen most everyone had written the event off to be canceled. The morning after the storm Don Foltyn and my self got to the trails at 8:30am with shovels in hand to begin reclaiming our jumps. Six hours later we had them dry and rideable and the event kicked off on time for the day. It was a very enjoyable personal victory for both of us to say the least.
There was one big wet spot that we could not get water to stop running through so most of the riders opted to stick to the top half of the line. The beginner and expert class went off and everyone had a great time while the pro classes decided not to ride and put the purse money to a jump contest that is part of the Trans Jam later in the weekend.
Here is just some of the fun that I captured on my Go Pro from the day.” – Andrew Bryan
