Here’s a look at a bunch of clips from sessions on parks, street spots and more to celebrate turning 40! This is a mix of new and old clips, so you get a look at some bangers from over the years as well! Hit play and take a look!
Schwinn “American Muscle” Behind the Scenes (1996)
What were you doing in 1996? Since I have a feeling a good number of people checking this out may not have existed yet, or were super young at the time, it wouldn’t be a complete surprise that they weren’t watching the Schwinn “American Muscle” video that coincidentally featured a few of BMX’s legends that you might be familiar with. The crew at Snakebite BMX uploaded 13 minutes of raw behind the scenes footage filmed during a mini ramp session. Back with full face helmets, front and back brakes were the norm. Plenty of gold packed into this one, so hit play and take it all in!
“While filming for the infamous Schwinn video Osato & Miron decided to drive south of the border and ride my friend Andrews ramps. Andrew had his camera that day and filmed the session. Featuring Dave Osato, Jay Miron, Andrew Ryser, Ben Marin, Rich Hirsch, Jason Enns, & Nathan Penonzek.
At the end there are a few clips at Jarek’s ramp it that was not in the same town.” – Snakebite BMX
“Live Your Truth” – Full Video
Now this is what we’re talking about! Jeff Perkins just uploaded the full “Live Your Truth” BMX video online for everyone to enjoy! We haven’t heard of this one before, but it’s just over 40 minutes of pure BMX goodness with trails, cement parks, street spots and more packed into it from the Northwest of the U.S all the way to the Gorge Road Trails in New Zealand and more. This one is much more about style, flow and cruising than it is about tricks, and we’re okay with that! Plus, good tunes from start to finish! Hit play and enjoy this one!
“Full length BMX video created by riders from the north northwest. Full length parts from Jeff Perkins, Scotty Scamehorn, John Glassett, Andrew Ryser, and James Van De Kamp. Plus homies.” – Jeff Perkins
