Spotted these guys over on The Merged. Take a closer look at Ben Hucke’s signature Local bars from The Shadow Conspiracy. These bars have a rise of 8.5″, a width of 28″, 12-degrees of back sweep and 1-degree of upsweep with a slim design, post-weld heat-treating and an anti-rust ED coating. The Local bars come in black and perma blue with a weight of 27.7 oz. and should be available everywhere Shadow is sold now.
Diamondback dropped the new episode of Ben Hucke’s “Getting Serious” series. This time around, Ben Hucke and his boy Levi make a trip out to Florida for the Shadow Conspiracy holiday party. Take a look at what these guys got into with the rest of the team and all of the seriousness that happened, haha. Definitely stoked on this series.

The Shadow Conspiracy‘s Caleb Quanbeck and Ben Hucke got a late night session in at The Lumberyard in Portland, Oregon the other night. Check out some of the clips they were able to come up with during the session. Definitely can’t go wrong with footage from these two.

Wow… I didn’t see this one coming. It looks like Ben Hucke has decided to step away (see what I did there?) from the Almond Footwear team for 2013. Below you can check out a few words about the decision. I wonder if he’s got a new deal lined up?
“Its so weird when a rider leaves, even when its on good terms. It just feels like the break up of a relationship, and thats because it is and thats the simplest way to see it.
Ben’s been with us since day one and without him we wouldn’t have been able to achieve the things we did. The hardest part of the last couple of years has been trying to work together easily and fit in around Bens hectic career. So we decided to part ways and hopefully things will be a lot easier for both of us. Ben was nice enough to write something which is below. We wish Ben all the best in his future and thank him for supporting us every step of the way.” – Almond
“First off I just want to thank Almond for seeing something in me from the beginning, taking a shot and giving me the honor of having a signature shoe the past couple years. However as they sometimes say “all good things come to an end”. I’ve decided not to re-sign this year on good terms, for my own reasons and the most important one being that we just don’t have the time to work together. I’m an all or nothing type of person and unfortunately with the time and distance between us we weren’t able to build our relationship, work on products together, go on trips, etc… I truly wish Almond the best and I look forward to watching them continue to grow.” – Ben Hucke
This is pretty much the best thing you will see all day. Dan’s Comp sent Stew Johnson to meet up with Ben Hucke and his son, Levi, to talk about how much the kid has affected Ben’s life and how awesome he is. This is definitely awesome to see since it’s been kind of cool to see him grow up through photos and videos and see how stoked he is on BMX. If this doesn’t make you smile, something is wrong with you.
