In the last few years of my life I’ve contracted the travel bug. It’s a strong virus with symptoms of vagabond desire, a craving for adventure, and a longing to be well-cultured. For me, the bicycle seems to be the paramount device to assist in spreading this virus, and connecting with other infected individuals. As a proud victim of this infection, I hope to share my stories and experiences in this series, bicycles involved or otherwise. In doing so, perhaps I may be able to achieve the status of a parasite and inspire others to contract the travel bug themselves…

Kink Bike Co. just sent through their latest catalog giving us a closer look at their full range of 2016 Complete BMX Bikes that will be available in May 2015! Give the flipbook above a look to check out the bikes that cover all budgets from the small 12″ push bike on through 16″, 18″ and 20″ bikes from the entry level all the way up to the pro level. This whole range is looking real good!
We have been hearing rumors that Ride UK would be moving over to 100% digital the past few days, but we hadn’t heard any solid evidence. Today, Bike Biz dropped a press release from Factory Media (Ride UK’s publisher) that they would be discontinuing Ride UK and Dirt mountain bike magazine as part of their restructuring plan. It’s been crazy how many print magazines have been shut down. I think it’s just Ride BMX and BMX Plus! still with a regular print schedule. Expect all of Ride UK’s content to be coming through their website in the future.
Our friends over at Mutant Bikes just sent through a handful of photos and a full parts list of Daniel “Naran” Penafiel’s current setup that’s dialed in with a handful of fresh product and plenty of oil slick!
