Rest In Peace, Sam Tormey

It’s always so hard to let people know a rider has passed away. After a long battle with cancer, Australia’s Sam Tormey has been relieved of his pain and has moved on. We didn’t know Sam personally, but we have seen nothing but amazing things about him and he was truly a rider that loved BMX and was good for BMX. Our thoughts are with Sam and his family. Rest in Peace, Sam!

I was fortunate enough to ride with Sam a few times and he was a delight to be with and his passion for riding was strong. The annual Bike Hall Contest is going down May 1st and 2nd in Trutnov over in the Czech Republic! This is the 11th year this contest has been going on and every year it looks like a damn good time! Chris Smith Bike Check

We’re always psyched to get a look at a dialed BMX bike! Chris Smith is one of those riders we’ve seen a handful of videos from over the years and he’s always putting in the work! 2015 WATSA Festival – Confirmed Riders + Dates

The 2015 WATSA Festival is going down June 11th – 14th in Marseille, France! They just hit us up with some info on this years event! This contest is open to all Pros and Amateurs and you can get full details on how to get involved with the contest or learn more about it on their Facebook page! It looks like they already have a huge list of guys confirmed for this one with names like Daniel Dhers, Jason Phelan, Mark Webb, Ryan Taylor, Ondra Slez, Alex Coleborn, Jack Watts, Jack Clark, Michael Berran, Daniel Penafiel, Dean Custon, Andres Lainevool, Brock Hornemann, Josh Mathew, Josh Crosswell, Gary Spencer and more that will all be throwing down at the contest in June!
