Is it time for some new shoes? We were due for a new pair and started looking around to realize that Chase Hawk has a new signature from Etnies out, which is his second signature shoe from them! Some of you might have seen his signature Marana that dropped a little while back but might not have been feeling the red colorway it came in. For this version, Etnies and Chase have gone with a clean and classic black using the Jameson MT for the style! Product: Lotek – Shawn McIntosh “Mac” Shoe

A few weeks back, Lotek released their newest range of shoes for 2015. Over the years, Lotek have always been pretty notorious for putting out some amazing looking shoes that are not only good for riding in, but good for the day to day. This year, they released Shawn McIntosh’s signature “Mac” shoe that really caught our attention. The Mac is a mid top style shoe that starts with a protective ankle are with plenty of padding and an achilles cutout to give it more flexibility for comfort while riding, with a suede upper with double stitching for increased strength, multiple color options that use suede, canvas and leather and metal lace eyelets for that extra pop. Inside you can find a custom molded protective polyurethane insole and the Vulcanized outsole that grips your pedals well. Insight: Cult X Vans Collaboration Chukka Midtop & Era Pro

There’s no denying that we have seen a lot of collaborations between brands over the years and they have all lead to some pretty cool final products. A few years back, Cult teamed up with Vans for a collaboration that produced two styles of shoes that yielded some amazing results — I still rock ’em even — and they have finally teamed back up for a second go! The shoes themselves have been available for a few weeks now, but we figured it would be a good time to take a closer look their latest collaboration with the classic Chukka Midtop and Era Pro shoes that they used for this time around! Insight: Etnies – Chase Hawk Signature Marana Shoes

There’s no denying the success that Chase Hawk has found in BMX over all of his years of style that he has graced us with. This year in particular seems to be one that has been more than amazing than previous years with some unexpected changes to his sponsor line up, taking home a gold medal at the X-Games, having a day named after him in Austin, Texas, having a new version of his signature frame from Cult released and even more recently, his own signature colorway on the Marana shoe from Etnies. There have been a lot of good things happening for him and it’s safe to say it’s every bit well deserved.
A few weeks back, we got our hands on a pair of those signature shoes we just mentioned and figured it would be more than a good time to take a more in-depth look at just what makes the shoe special and give some insight into what we have thought about them so far!
