Spotted this over on The Merged. Here’s a sneak peek of the new topload stem that Colony will be releasing later this year. Based on the information, it sounds like it will have a higher rise than their current top load stem and they’ve done a little more machining for additional weight savings and a cleaner look with the recessed top cap. Dialed.
Fit Bike Co.‘s new High Top stem is OUT NOW! This top load stem is made right here in America with 6061-T6 aluminum that has extra CNC machining to save weight have have a clean look. The High Top comes with a rise of 36mm upright, reach options of 49mm, 52mm and 55mm and comes with a weight of 11.30 oz (52mm version). You can also find some Grade 8 allen bolts so you don’t have to worry about breaking those. The guys at Proper Bike Co. have been working on a bunch of new products and it sounds like we’ll be seeing them starting to pop up now. Above we have the Acala top load stem which is made from 6061-T6 alloy with a 52mm reach, 20mm rise and a recessed top for your compression cap to fit in clean. The stem also features extra machining on the sides and top cap for a clean look and extra weight savings. Are top loads not really your thing?
