Back in September during Interbike, Animal had a display bike rolling around the show floor with a few of their prototype parts that they were working on. Two of those items that caught our attention were the new MTT tires and the BPE pedals. We figured with both of these items being ready to release in January that it would be a good time to catch up with the guys and find out what they are all about. We’ve got a two part interview about each of the parts for you to check out. For the first part we caught up with Jay Dyer, Frank Lam and Jeff Kocsis to take a closer look at the MTT tire and find out what the story is about it. Here’s a look at the new Ridgestone tires from Eclat. This tire comes in two different tread pattern versions; slick and traction. The Slick version is a wire bead tire with a 120 tpi (threads per inch) contruction and a 110 psi rating. The Ridgestone slick is available in 20 x 2.20″ and 20 x 2.30″ with black, white wall and skin wall color options.
The Traction version is also a wire bead tire with 120 tpi and a 110 psi rating. This more aggressive version of the tire comes in 20 x 2.30″ with black, white wall and skin wall color options.

Odyssey‘s anticipated Chase Hawk tires are now available everywhere Odyssey is sold (I don’t think I’ve ever seen a shop that can’t get Odyssey). So if you’re looking for some fresh tires, take a look at these!

Subrosa‘s anticipated Street Digger tire is finally available! This slimmed down version of their popular Gravedigger tire is made from a soft and grippy rubber compund and comes in 20×2.20 with a 110 psi rating and a weight of 21 oz. These should be hitting all the mailorders and shops that carry Subrosa soon. If you want some, have your local shop get ahold of Sparky’s Distribution to get you some ordered up today!
Demolition‘s Machete tire is now available in a 20×2.35″ version and come in this awesome red wall or black wall options. These are out now so if you are looking to freshen up your bike maybe these would be for you?
KHE have added a new tire to their line up. The Mac 2 Proof tire is designed to be puncture resistant. Here’s more info from them…
