The Hunt – Kyle Baldock

April 26, 2012

“There is no doubt that Australians Kyle Baldock is the future of ramp riding. After an amazing year competing overseas placing 3rd in Dirt & Park at the Dew Tour series. Baldock has had a lot to overcome. With the passing of his younger brother only 2weeks before he was off to America to live for 6months, Kyles made that his inspiration. Doing it for his younger brother and all his family and friends back home in Australia. Kyle and myself received a huge invitation to film a video part for The Hunt BMX competition. Here is our entry. Filmed in Greenville, North Carolina July 2011.

Placing 5th and receiving a spot on The Hunt Season One DVD.

FIST – Meyn, Whyatt & Farrugia Session

February 23, 2012

FIST Handwears newest recruit Todd Meyn, was over in Melbourne for a week riding and hanging out. Meyn, Whyatt & Farrugia were hit with some rain, so they headed indoors to have a session. Lucky we were on hand to capture all the madness that went down.

Farrugia took a heavy slam to the face on a 720 bar spin gone wrong, resulting in him sitting out a majority of the session.

“Andrew Ahumada lives up to his reputation, sending banger after combo-banger in this episode of Heat, filmed with an Australian accent, filmed in Melbourne’s Rampfest indoor skatepark, Hill ‘n’ Dale, Northcote, and Hoppers Crossing. “Local Knowledge” – A BMX Documentary

October 14, 2011

Simply put. This is awesome.

“Local Knowledge A BMX Documentary.

After lots of planning, countless meetings, frustrated riders, the plans were set & construction was scheduled.

18.07.11 Construction commenced on the Warrnambool Skatepark. Taking 6 long weeks to be completed.

29.08.11 Construction was completed. Park opened to the public.

The documentary named ‘Local Knowledge’ is about the role the local BMX riders played in the re-development of the Warrnambool skatepark. With the vast amount of talent within only a few dedicated riders, this documentary looks at what influenced them in creating the layout for the skatepark, their feelings on being able to basically design their localskatepark that they’ve ridden for countless years & what they look forward to in the new park and what it’ll bring to, what is an already such a small, talented group of riders.

All the riding action is @ 5:10 Don’t miss that! Lots of good riding in there!
