“Colin is an OG around here. When I was young him and his crew from New Glasgow, NS put out a DVD called “Good Times” and I must have watched it 100 times growing up. This time around we get Matt Comeau’s section that is just shy of six minutes of goodness from the streets of Halifax. Matt is no stranger to putting his pegs to good use on every ledge and rail he comes across an this section is proof of that. Take a peek!

““Like Andrew, Matt was making trips to Halifax from Moncton every few weeks starting in 2015 to film for this. If you follow him on instagram you already know how much bike control he has. When he’s just screwing around on a spot he pulls off brain melting tricks like he’s not even trying. “Business II” – Andrew Phillips Section

It looks like it’s time for the Business crew up in Canada to start uploading sections from their “Business II” DVD! To kick things off, we get a look at Andrew Phillips‘ section that is packed with grinds, some great setups and a lot of dumpster usage. Check it out!

Andrew is from Moncton, NB about 3 hours away from Halifax. The first day that Matt and Andrew came to Halifax to seriously film we ended up stacking like crazy and I knew they could easily film full parts. A handfull of roadtrips later and he filmed an almost 5 minute long section packed with bangers. He finished this section when he was 19. He’s a quiet guy that enjoys hard boiled eggs, haddock, pool, darts and tooth hangers. He’s also just released his first 35mm photo zine called “Oh That Spot” which is available for purchase on the Business BMX big cartel. He’s 20 now and we’ve got a lot in the works moving forward.

It has been quite some time since we’ve seen a BMX video from the Business crew up in Canada, but it looks like they’ve been chugging along for their second full-length video! Here’s a taste of just what is to come in the near future! This should kick a lot of ass, so get stoked.

The Business BMX crew up in Canada have been busy stacking clips for the “Business 2” DVD for the better part of FOUR YEARS and it looks like they’ve finally wrapped things up! This video looks like it’s going to kick a whole lot of ass from the riding the film work, so get stoked!

“This is the trailer for our full length which we’ve been working hard on for 4 years. Featuring our large BMX scene in the maritimes, countless riders have put an incredible amount of work into this and the end product is showing.
Recently we’ve run into some bad luck and lost our editing software and a large amount of camera gear to theft. I just wanted to extend a sincere thank you to anyone that has donated, shared, liked, commented on the GoFundMe page that was made. With your help I’m able to get on my feet and continue/finish making this film of my friends. Thank you.”

Business BMX – A Day On 16mm

We don’t see much footage surface from the 16mm film camera department these days. However, the guys at Business BMX up in Canada caught a roll of film that couldn’t go to waste, so they made this rad video that was filmed in a day of cruising spots! Enjoy!

“The idea was to shoot an entire BMX “edit” in one day on a 100′ roll (2.5 minutes) of 16mm colour film. Since we only had 1 roll of film we kept the riding simple as each trick needed to be landed on the first or second try.

Business – 2nd Last Resort

This is pretty rad. Although the Business guys only caught the scraps of this one, they did come across a pretty rad little bowl that Red Bull left behind from their Last Resort project. Hit play and take a look!

“Here in Nova Scotia (Hubbards, to be exact), back in the 1990s some dudes bought a piece of land on the ocean and began to build an incredible 20million$+ sea spa. The project ran into funding issues in 1994 and closed down.
This Fall, Red Bull came along and turned the inside of the building into a skatepark, as well as turning a waterpump foundation into a temporary concrete bowl. They filmed a video called Red Bull: Last Resort, which dropped on December 4th.
After Red Bull had left, Kyle, Coady and I went to check out the scene. The indoor stuff had been taken down, and the bowl a quarter destroyed with the debris all in it (couldn’t keep for insurance issues). We spent a day salvaging the bowl to ride it for the evening, before being completely filled in with dirt and rocks later that week.
