Looking at this photo, you just think “hey, it’s Catfish doing some trick I don’t even know the name of”, but I bet you didn’t know there is a whole story about why this photo is crazy. Find out why on Jeremy Pavia‘s blog. Weird situation, good photo.

“ The day before the trip officially started, we hit up San Jose for a warm up session at the Lake Cunningham skatepark. When we first arrived there were some pretty funny antics with Big Daddy trying to challenge Ryan Nyquist’s small son. After that the crew had a killer session, with local legends Ron Wilkerson and Cameron Birdwell showing up later in the day. Birdwell ends the session with an insane 3x barspin over a cement hip.

Strangers In Danger
I had been hearing that Catfish and Rooftop had their own TV show coming. I just didn’t know what it was about or anything. That changed today when Fuel TV dropped the news. This is bound to get interesting…
“Premiering this September, “Strangers In Danger” follows two thrill seeking friends and pro BMX’ers, Mike “Rooftop” Escamilla and Zach “Catfish” Yankush, around the world as they search for the most extreme, peculiar, and sometimes flat out ridiculous challenges in each country they visit. Whether its deactivating landmines in Vietnam or biking down the road of death in Bolivia, these guys push the boundaries of what’s considered safe and have as much fun as they possibly can in the process. Each episode will bring Rooftop and Catfish to a new country where they will explore bizarre cultural traditions, take on intense physical challenges, and chow down some of the strangest food they can stomach.” – Fuel TV
Catfish Visits Rampworx
“The one and only Catfish (team manager at DK Bikes and commentator for just about every contest on the planet) was over in England for the Nike Pool contest in London. After the comp Catfish headed up to Liverpool to come hang out with friends and ride Rampworx for a few days.
We caught up with him whilst he was up here and to talk about the local scene and what he thought about BMX in England.
Whilst Catfish was in Liverpool he decided to take a little bit of Liverpool home with him, he got a Liver Bird tattooed on his leg in. This is a tradition Catfish takes with him to every country he visits.
Check it out.

Daydreaming for us is a place to put all those clips that just don’t have a home. Amazing riding, fun sessions, and just random cool clips we think you guys need to see while watching the days away, and waiting for warmer weather.
For our third Daydreaming edit we take you along the South, coast to coast hitting spots in North Carolina, Texas, Arizona, and California. Check out some clips of Brian Hunt, Catfish, Dave Williams, Jacob Conard, Joey Harding, JR, Leigh Ramdsell, Mike Krnaich, Ronnie Napolitan, KC Badger, Chase Hawk, Dennis Enarson, and Chad Kerley as they hit up parks, street, and trails.

Green Laser Phenomenon
There has been some chaos in BMX as of lately with the whole green laser pointer phenomenon growing. Over the course of the last year I was exposed to the lasers from a distance. Keeping my curiosity to a controllable level without really any over the top temptation of needing to make a purchase of one of these 50mw eye burning, distance shooting, sign explosion devices. That was until Baco…
