TBR – Tyler Gilliard’s Flat Party
Tyler Gilliard turned 24 a few weeks back, and to celebrate he got a bunch of flatland riders together for a jam. The turn out was great, with riders of all ages and experience levels showing up, including his Profile team mate Chad Degroot. TBR has a handful of photos from the event up now. Flash Back Friday – Front Brake Magic
Over the course of the past few weeks, we’ve seen a couple really mind blowing videos from a few of the guys who are absolute animals when it comes to the front brake game these days. Obviously, in the past years brakes have really become obsolete for a good number of riders, which I mean is fine, but I almost feel like it’s almost becoming some sort of a lost art. There are so many tricks that just aren’t possible without brakes or even front brakes for that matter that kick so much ass. It’s always refreshing to see people doing things different and killing it like it was done back in the day.
Watching all of these new videos with all of this front brake magic got me thinking about not only how bad I want to get some on my bike, but a few of the guys I grew up watching who all ran front brakes. I decided since it’s a “Flashback Friday” that it would be a good time to pull out a few of these new videos and then dig in a little bit for some videos spanning the past decade or so front some of the legends of the front brake game so to speak. Pay Attention! – Texas Toasted BMX Trip
James Covington, Trey Jones, Colt Fake and a few friends loaded up on a road trip from Florida to Austin for the Texas Toast Jam a few weeks back! This video gives you a look at what they got into along the way. Looks like it was a kickass trip!
