We figured Xmas eve morning would be a great time, slow, and easy to film with the sun starting to come up and the fishing buddies slowly piling up with bobbers and gear while we filmed some flatland on a famous historic bridge.

Lake Monroe Bridge was a two-lane steel bridge constructed over the St. Johns River at the west outlet of Lake Monroe between 1933 and 1994. It was a part of U.S. Route 17/92, and spanned the border between Seminole and Volusia Counties in Florida, United States. On the Seminole side is Sanford and on the Volusia side is DeBary. Historical markers claim it was the first electrically operated swing bridge in the State of Florida.”

The Expansion Project – Chad DeGroot Interview

August 25, 2015

For the latest Podcast from The Expansion Project, Fat Tony caught up with, Chad DeGroot to talk riding and his business life. Chad is one of the wildest guys we know and he stays damn busy while still crushing it on a bike. Take it all in!

“My guest today is one of the most influential BMX riders of all time and entrepreneur extraordinaire Chad DeGroot. He is one of those people who has had so much going on for so long that picking and choosing what to cover in a one hour interview was super difficult.

On the entrepreneurial side, he’s owned two different skateparks that had a huge impact on the BMX scene in Florida. He’s put on numerous events and competitions, and currently owns a BMX company and bike shop.

On top of all that, he is a husband and father of two kids. The list goes on and on. If you’re a fan of BMX, you definitely do not want to miss this episode, and if you’re not into BMX, I think you’ll still get plenty out of it, so check it out!”

Deco – 10K Trip with Chad DeGroot and Karl Poynter

June 26, 2015

To celebate Deco rolling over 10,000 fans on Instagram, Chad DeGroot and Karl Poynter did a little road trip around a few of Indiana’s cement parks! Between these two guys, you know you’re going to see some damn creative riding. There’s a lot of rocket combos in this that are awesome to see, that’s for sure. LOL at the parents teaching the kids how to graffiti at the end.

“With being so close to the Chicago Dew tour I decided to arrive early, get a car, and meet up with Karl Poynter for a quick trip riding some Indiana parks. With chasing rain drops for 3 days we did get some stuff done, more than we thought. Pretty amazing parks and wild scenes Indy has. We found enough time to get this edit done but plan on another since we just scratched the surface. Karl is so smooth and finds the lines that don’t make any sense but stomps them like its nothing. We were a good team for this, similar likes at parks, exchanging the camera, and shooting pics. Enjoy this edit and thanks for getting the @decobmx instagram to 10k #DecoBMX10k and follow @karlqpoynter and @chaddegroot #decobmx also stay tuned to www.DECOBMX.com for all the good stuff, product info, ordering, news, and everything to fill your Deco needs. TILL THE BITTER END. Thanks.” -Chad DeGroot
