I’ve been anticipating this for a few weeks now. Focalpoint recently decided to discontinue the print version of the magazine and start releasing it online only. Issue 28 is their first issue that is entirely online only and damn did it turn out so rad. It’s definitely nice having a magazine in your hand, but it’s better to have this than losing the magazine as a whole since Cooper Brownlee always does a phenomenal job with it. Check out all 74 pages of goodness right here. There’s also a givewaway they’ve got hidden in the pages so try and find that too!
Colony’s California Vacation
“The Colony team looked like they were having a fun time in California every time we crossed paths on their epic trip that just went down so we sat them down to talk to the Aussie visitors about their Golden State experience. Check out what Tom Stretton, Peta Shepherd, and Cooper Brownlee think about California and how their trip went.” – Ride BMX
How To Predator Grind a Flat Rail with Cooper Brownlee
Colony‘s Cooper Brownlee gives you some advice on how to get your predator grinds on lock. Take a look, then go give it a try!
“This week, Cooper Brownlee shows off the basics of learning a predator grind. With four pegs being common nowdays and over grinds being a fairly fundamental trick, this is a grind that takes a grind to hop over to the next level. Check out Cooper’s tips above.” – Ride BMX

Colony – West Coast Invasion Edit
Some of the Colony team have been over here in the U.S for a bit getting some riding time in. Here’s a little Calling The Shots session they got in one night.
“When the entire Colony BMX Team — Ryan Guettler, Chris Courtenay, Jourdan Barba, Bobbie Altiser, Cooper Brownlee, Alex Hiam, Tom Stretton, Peta Shepherd, and Clint Millar — descended on a park near Crooked World, we took the opportunity to get a very special episode of “Calling The Shots.” Check out ColonyBMX.com.au/News for more about their West Coast road trip. Filmed by Chris Long.” – Network A
Rolling In Business – Cooper Brownlee
Head over to the We Are Orange Juice website for a new interview with Cooper Brownlee about how he got his start with Focalpoint, Colony and the million other things he constantly has going on. Real good read.

Colony in Shanghai Edit
I’ve been patiently waiting for this edit from Colony‘s trip to Shanghai to drop.. So good.
“At the end of April 2012 Marnold, Liam Zingbergs, Cooper Brownlee and Brock Olive visited Shanghai in China for the Asian X-Games. They then spent a few days riding around the city exploring and riding some good spots.
There were alot of issues with this trip, the main one being the airline losing all our bikes for a few days. rain and Brock slicing his shin open resulting in 20 stitches but we it was still fun and filled with alot of laughs.
Thanks very much to Kane and all the locals at cnbmx.com for all their help.
Be sure to check the up and coming issue of 2020 for a feature article on the trip.
