Crooked World – Stevie Churchill and Dylan Stark Calling the Shots

August 9, 2012

Stevie Churchill and Dylan Stark are a deadly threat when they are together. Check out how nuts they get in this new Calling the Shots.

“The Hunt team members re-unite — Stevie Churchill and Dylan Stark show the Long Beach MLK Park some new moves in this episode of Calling the Shots. Dylan manhandles the up rail and gaps out of the skatepark, while Stevie blows minds with more tech than Terry Adams. Big shout out to Stew Johnson adding background prop star power.” – Crooked World

There’s a whole lotta goodness in this one!

“This week on The Crooked World BMX Dirt Ron, Montana Jesse, Kyle Hart, and Jeff Klugiewicz get together for a super session at Ocean Beach skate park. With plenty of smooth transitions the boys have their way with this park and show off some incredible riding with plenty of barspins, tuck no handers, and style. Check out the fence session at 1:45. These guys will ride anything!” – Network A

Story Behind The Photo: Jimmy Levan & The Chainless Tooth

June 24, 2012

I’ll be honest and say I never knew this photo was chainless. That makes it so much more gnarly.

“Jimmy Levan tell the behind the scenes story about his first tooth hanger photo that he shot for an Odyssey BMX ad. It just so happened to be in the dark and he was missing his chain at the time. Photo by Justin Kosman” – Crooked World

Behind The Photo: Polaroid Transfer with Dakota Roche

March 24, 2012

To say Justin Kosman is an absolute boss behind the camera would be an understatement. There’s no doubt in my mind that you have probably seen one of his photos or even videos over the years and that’s due to being damn good at what he does. I’m into photos and stuff, I still don’t have a full understanding of how this got done, but some of you photo nerds will enjoy this explanation of a photo of Dakota Roche he did for Crooked World. Take a peek.

“A combination of prints from digital, shots on a Polaroid Land Camera, Fuji FP100c film and Polaroid 669 film and a copysystem pro insta-film copy film machine.”
