I’m about two days late on this one… Any guesses who will pick up Daniel Dhers next?
“ We are really proud to have worked with Daniel over the last 3 years. Daniel is one of the best BMX park rider in the world and a great friend of us. Between the Made in Germany Tour and his recent gold medal at the X-Games on his signature Maceto bike, we will keep many good memories. Big thanks to Daniel Dhers for being a big part of our Team & Family. We wish you the very best in your new adventures.” – KHE
Here’s a look at Daniel Dhers’ signature frame from KHE. The Maceto is a 100% Sanko Japanese chromoly frame with a 75-degree head tube angle, 71-degree seat tube angle and 13.3″ chain stay length. The frame features a mid bottom bracket, taperlock dropouts, removeable mounts, an integrated seat post clamp, an internal gusset on the DT, fluted seat tube and a heat treated bottom bracket, head tube and drop outs. The frame is available in 20.25″ with a weight of 3.88 lbs (1.76 kg) and matte red for the color. Click here to check out more photos and information.
Here’s a quick edit that somebody put together featuring Daniel Dhers and a few other riders in Hong Kong. It’s kind of informational on his history, but there’s some good riding.
I can’t help but notice his shoes. I wonder if he’s got a deal with Adidas these days.

No, Daniel Dhers didn’t open 58 bike shops, he opened 58 Bike Shop in Miami with good friend Pedro Hurtado. Here’s a few words from Daniel about the news…
““After months and months of thinking I’ve decided to leave my long time sponsor ALBE‘s , it wasn’t easy to come to this decision since they have been awesome to me since my first trip to America when I decided to pursue this BMX dream. They’ve carried me under their wing this whole time and I can’t thank Flip, Todd, Turbo and the rest of the Albe’s team enough for everything, you guys are like family! But just like every little bird I’ve decided to grow wings myself and start my own project to get a little more involved with the industry side of BMX, so I have taken an opportunity to start a partnership with one of my best friends and also rider Pedro Hurtado to start our own bike shop/mail order. We are starting small but with a lot of energy and motivation, so we’ll see what the future brings; we are already planning some stuff we are sure you’ll like!
We also would like to announce our first Team Rider, Mark Webb. I have spent a lot of time with Webby over the years and Im more than happy he has accepted to join us. We will be announcing more team riders soon.
The shop will be based in the Miami area; for the riders whom might want to come and check it out it’s at 11159 NW 122st, Medley, FL, 33178.
So here it is, 58 Bike shop is born and we would like to celebrate that with some discounts! So check the website out and enjoy!””

Poc Helmets teamed Daniel Dhers up with Danny Macaskill and Martin Söderström to see what they could team up and get done. Daniel was kind of the odd man out, but it still turned out pretty good.
“It’s been a dream project since a couple of years, bringing our dear friends Daniel, Danny and Martin together here to explore and ride the surroundings of POC HQ. POC HQ is based right in between the exotic Archipelago and Stockholm city, the capital of Sweden and offers some unique spots. So, we were really excited when we finally could bring them together and start filming.”
