“Virginia Beach, VA (August 25, 2012) – Eighteen-year-old Daniel Sandoval claimed first place and $5,000 Saturday at the inaugural LXVI BMX Invitational presented by Vans at the 50th ECSC Beach Festival in Virginia Beach. In the last of his three runs, Sandoval combined a bar to whip, a huge late front flip and 360 bar to bar for the highest score of the day. In all, three Californians took the podium as runner up Pat Casey and third place TJ Ellis took home $3,750 and $3,000, respectively.

When was the last time you saw something from Total BMX that wasn’t worth a look!? The team killed it at the BMX Worlds last weekend.

“The whole team (minus Chance) were in attendance at this years BMX Worlds in Cologne, Germany. Unfortunately bad weather and injuries kept some of the team from getting clips.

Riding from Jack Watts, Andrew Ahumada, Ricky Moseley, Daniel Sandoval, Kevin Peraza, David Peraza, Kyle Baldock, and Todd Meyn.

Kyle Baldock took the win in BMX dirt to become World Champion.

Here’s a quick clip of Daniel Sandoval doing a footplant to front flip on a spine. I don’t think I’ve seen one of these happen before. For some reason, when I read the title the first time I thought it said handplant to front flip, which would have been gnarly as shit. Maybe he’ll get it done now? I don’t think he’ll see this, haha.

If you didn’t already know, the Total BMX team is absolutely nuts. This video from the riding they threw down at FISE is so good. The last clip is absolutely insane.
