Dan’s Comp coming through with a new How To video for your viewing pleasure! This time around they have a video with a ton of tips and advice on how to manual on a BMX bike. This is a trick we’ve seen covered before, but it’s one of those building block tricks that takes a bit of time to really dial in, but once you have it figured out you can add it into different lines and combos. So, if you want to learn how to manual, get on that play button and then grab your bike and get to work! This is a trick that takes A LOT of practice, and you can almost always progress with it, so don’t give up if it doesn’t work out right away.

“Manuals are one of those fundamental BMX tricks that every rider should try to learn. Not only are manuals extremely fun, but they open up a ton of other trick possibilities. In this weeks video, Mike breaks down proper manual technique including the proper way to pull up, balance and turn.

Over the years we’ve seen A LOT of changes in BMX bikes from design to materials, and in that time there’s been a lot of innovation. Here’s an interesting video Dan’s Comp put together discussing, in their opinion, the Top 5 Parts that changed BMX forever. Over the years we’ve seen a few how to videos on this one, but it’s been a while! Dan’s Comp released this new How To video showing you how to 360 on a BMX bike. If you’re just getting started or need to help getting the bike all the way around, definitely give this video a watch since there’s some great tips and advice, along with plenty of examples. The past few years have been pretty rough for Dan’s Comp. They went from the largest mail-order in BMX to bankrupt and in what seemed like a complete mess in a pretty short period of time. There were a good number of brands owed money and what appeared to be a ton of orders not getting shipped out to customers based on the comments on their social media channels. After all the rough time, it looks like Dan’s Comp has been sold to a new parent company, AMain.com, Inc. We don’t know much about this new owner, but it sounds like they are planning to get things back on track. They’ll be moving Dan’s Comp out of Indiana to two warehouses on the East and West Coasts for improved shipping times, increasing their customer service to 7 days a week, launching a new website and doing things like rewards programs to try to right the ship. It does sound like they will be putting more emphasis on the race side of BMX, but we would imagine they will be carrying plenty of freestyle as well.
