They’re Watching – London

August 12, 2021

The They’re Watching crew are back at it with a new video from some time they spent cruising spots all over London! As expected, these guys delivered with a ton of great riding on spots galore. There’s a good mix of tricks and style, along with a faster paced vibe, so hit play and take it all in!

“The ‘They’re Watching’ crew never stop! This time around the guys head to London UK for 3 days of rainy street riding, and as always, they came back with grade-a clips. Featuring Louis Otto, Isaac Downey, Joe Exley, Ed Bennett, Archie Kenward, Chase Quantrill, Jack Fiorenzio, Miles Hollamby, and Harvey Shorey.” – DIG

Sunday Bikes – No Service

August 5, 2021

Michigan has been a hot spot for videos lately, and it’s easy to see why. Trent Lutzke got some of the Sunday Bikes squad up there recently, and it looks like they had a blast. Check out what Jared Duncan, Brett Silva, Julian Arteaga and Trent got into in this fresh edit. Small town vibes with plenty of bangers.

“Hold on to your hats folks – this is an absolute gem! DIG filmer Trent Lutzke welcomed his Sunday teammates out to the midwest for a week of car surfing, wild riding clips, angry members of the public, incredible spots and No Service. This is ultimate pre-riding hype. Stop what you’re doing and watch over 10 minutes of grade-A riding from a dream squad.” – DIG

“Having the Sunday boys in town was an idea I have been manifesting since I got put on the team a few years back. I always thought Michigan, especially the northern parts, were super overlooked and practically untouched when it comes to riding. I also thought It could be huge for the riders up in these parts to see pros in their area, get the chance to ride with them, and see that the spots up here are more than capable of providing some heat. There is a scene up here in the north, there’s about one biker for every other one stoplight town and it is important that they see what’s possible on their hometown spots. Seeing Cali footage all day really demotivates a lot of people out this way. Some kids grow up thinking they will never be anything unless they make it out West, and I can only hope that videos like this one show that biking is more than the west coast and more than energy drink sponsors. It is a gift, a gift that brings people together from all over the world and gets you outside living. Being able to meet these guys, I can only hope, provided some perspective that they are just another kid on a bike having a good time. Nobody is naturally gifted, everything we are on our bikes comes from practice. I want kids out this way to see and realize that.
Having Brett, Jared and Julian come and experience the Upper Peninsula for themselves really showed me just how overlooked it was. The winters up here are absolutely brutal and long. The snow almost always sets in by October 31st and isn’t gone until the sun comes back out in May. It can be very detrimental to a person’s riding, which in turn can affect their mental. I hope this video gets people out and getting it while the streets are hot. These northern crust-filled spots were begging for some carnage and holy shit did these boys provide. If there is anything that this video accomplishes, I hope it gets one person outside pedaling because damn did we ever have a good ass time doing just that. Thank you, Sunday Bikes and DIG BMX, for being down to roll with these ideas. It is important to me that the same stoke I grew up on, gets spread to the youngsters coming up on the scene. Bikes baby.

August 5, 2021

The Don of the Streets went off in New York City the other weekend and, as expected, there was a HUGE turnout of riders. “2021’s Don Of The Streets comes back in a big way, with hundreds of riders, hours of riding, all kinds of madness, and lots of spots, all with that NYC flavor. These 20 minutes give you a good glimpse into what went down.

We’re proud for DIG support this one with help towards that $5000 and huge thanks to all the other sponsors – @united_bmx @bsdforever @premiumbmx_ @chicbicycleclub @kinkbmx @fitbikeco @meserollshop@anthonypanza @animalbikes @dahshop @lifebehindgrips and Austin Augie for making this happen.

Hobie Doan In The Midwest

July 23, 2021

You know when you see Hobie Doan‘s name pop up, you’re going to see some dialed riding! Hobie recently spent some time in Michigan crushing spots, taking in the sights, riding dirt bikes and more! Hit play to check out 6 minutes of footage from his trip!

“The boi Hobie Doan split out to the Midwest to go stay with DIG’s Trent Lutzke for a week of hot heat, sick spots, bee-em-ex, and lols. Needless to say he produced the goods as always. Guest clips from Trent Lutzke, Grant Ueberroth, Jordy Kilpela, and Josh Carrasco.” – DIG

“I’ve lived in Michigan all my life. Born and raised in the mitten side of the state. This is the place that keeps on giving, the spots are endless/unique if you are willing to search for them and the scenery is hard to beat. But no matter how much I say I love this place; my opinion feels bias. Ever since THEMICHIGANVIDEO I have been hooked on BMX and bringing light to the place I grew up. This state has produced some amazing bike riders and amazing scenes. TMV was the first to prove that and now I feel it is my obligation to continue bringing love/light to this place we call home. Sure, the Midwest winters and random rainy shit storms producing floods and 90% humidity suck, but damn does mother nature bless us with some crusty, badass spots because of it. No crack will hold us back and in crust we trust. This environment changes the way you ride and is like nothing I have ever ridden before in my travels around the United States. The more north you go, the crustier it seems to get. Recently, I convinced Hobie that he needed to come experience it for himself. While my friends and I are currently finishing up filming for our 3 year long DVD project, ‘Program.”, I thought it would be fucking rad if Hobie could come out, restoke the boys, and take a trip around all of Michigan, which then turned into all of Michigan, parts of Wisconsin, and Illinois. Much of where the filming for ‘Program.’ takes place. This was a great way to get Hobie out of the Austin heat and a great time for us to really spend some time focusing on nothing but driving, riding and filming. Hobie never ceases to amaze me with how much he can produce in just one day’s time, so I knew I was going to be in for it when it came to pressing record. Unfortunately, much of his time here was spent with a bum wrist due to a slam on the first day and a rainstorm that nearly flooded us out of Chicago, on top of some van troubles, but that’s life and that’s bikes. Nonetheless, Hobie went in and our 2 weeks together flew by from all the fun we had. Enjoy watching Hobie Doan run these Midwest roads and keep an eye out for our DVD Program. Dropping August 14th, 2021. Also, shout the fuck out to DIG and Kink for helping fund our love for the road less traveled, along with Primo for getting Hobie out here. The amount of hype a video like this can bring to the young up and coming Midwest scenes is priceless and I am stoked that companies are down to get behind these ideas. BMX is more than what you see scrolling on your phone, I want kids to be stoked on the lifestyle, not just the likes and style.” – Trent Lutzke
