Here’s a pretty unique trip that Dustin Grice and AJ Anaya are doing! They’re loading up some of the rad little rippers we’ve been seeing popping up in videos and doing a 3 stop tour around Southern California to ride at the local parks and hopefully get a bunch of the younger kids who ride out with them. If you’re near Riverside, San Diego or Orange County December 12 – 15th, make sure you hit this up!
Living in Minnesota has always had one major downside when it comes to BMX… Winter. Over the years we have had a lot of skateparks come and go and a lot of the time it’s because they just aren’t built right or the people running it don’t know what the hell they are doing. Luckily, over the years we’ve had a few different places to ride that are doing things right. One of those places is The Factory in Minneapolis that’s ran by Dustin Grice and a handful of other guys who have been pushing the scene around here in the right direction for years.
In the past three years, these guys have gone from just a few little ramps to help pass the winters in a little corner of a warehouse they rented to their 3rd version that’s a full on BMX training facility that’s open 24 hours a day to members looking to ride some big ramps or learn some new tricks.
Dustin hooked us up with the premiere of their new video they just dropped giving you a look at the new ramp setup and some of the bangers that have gone down since they wrapped up building. Here’s a video Dustin Grice dropped featuring Backflip Billy throwing a huge backflip quadruple barspin at the Factory in the Twin Cities. I’m not sure if I’ve ever seen somebody do this one before. Wild!
Here’s a pretty funny video Dustin Grice put together from Ben Polaschek’s backyard…or… I mean Carrie’s backyard (Benny’s fiancé). Take a tour of the yard, see some pranks, then check out some riding from Ben, QBP‘s Glenn Dussl and Jay Schlie, Haro‘s Colton Walker, a rare Nick Lucas sighting, and Jeff McClearen with his shirt off and riding his crotch rocket in sandals. This is pretty uncut stuff and 10 minutes of a lot of random stuff with riding mixed in, but worth a watch for sure! Minnesota has spots!
Ben Snowden recently threw a little pre-Christmas BBQ and jam in his backyard. Dustin Grice pulled out his camera to document what went down during the day. Grilling, BMX, girls, sunshine and good times. That looks like a good time to me.
Dustin Grice has been on the move lately. Here’s a quick video he put together from the time he spent at Woodward Tahoe recently. Dustin takes care of business on the trails and on the ramps. Looks like he’s got a few new tricks in his bag too.
Every year at the Minnesota State Fair, 3rd Lair Skatepark puts on BMX and skateboard shows for the thousands or thousands of people who are there. This year, the Twin Cities Fantasy Factory crew joined up with the 3rd Lair guys to produce an even bigger show than they have in the past. This is a look at all the wild riding they threw down for the crowds. Awesome.
