Saturday is here once again! That means it’s time for a fresh round of Products! This week we’re going to take a closer look at the Drew Hosselton signature Hatchet fork from Volume Bikes, the Lahsaan Kobza signature Power pegs from Subrosa, the fresh colors for Freed Bikes‘ Freedom bars, the 2014 Tom Dugan signature complete from Fit Bike Co. and then we’ll wrap things up with the American made Deathrow cranks from Cult! Fit Bike Co. caught up with Angie Marino to take a closer look at her current MAC setup, along with stack a few clips on some California cement parks! Take a peek at this shiny rig!
BMX cranks are one of the most important parts on your bike. Not only because they allow you to pedal, which is key, but they are where a lot of the force from impacts end up when you land. Cranks have gone from one-piece designs that you could bend by just starring at them to traditional 3-piece style we see today. You can’t forget the 2-piece and 2.5-piece versions that have surfaced over the years as well. Either way, there are a lot of things that have been done to improve the quality of cranks to hold up the the level or riding that goes on these days from dropping off roofs, sending it over 30 foot doubles to blasting a box jump or grinding down a rail.
About two years ago, Fit Bike Co. introduced their 19mm Indent cranks which utilized the 3-piece design with a 19mm, 48-spline spindle and indents on the arms to improve strength. The cranks are clean and built to stand up to some heavy riding… Except they there were ways to get an even stronger design. Recently, Fit released another version of the cranks that feature a larger 24mm spindle that ultimately makes for a stronger design without excessive weight additions to your bike.
I was pretty curious what lead them to stepping outside the box so to speak from the traditional 19mm and 22mm spindle designs, so I got ahold of Chris Moeller to talk a little bit about what lead to the design. Let’s take a closer look!

Right on the heels of his stunning split edit with Justin Spriet, Matt Nordstrom is back with another edit for Fit. All shot in one day, Matt continues to prove that he’s a force to be reckoned with.
Matt Nordstrom and Justin Spriet are on Fit’s flow team for now, but with the level of riding that they deplay in this edit, I can’t see them staying on flow for long! These guys really kill it. The future of BMX is bright, and there is no end to progression in sight!
Last time I checked, tires are a pretty important part on a BMX bike. Not only do they keep you rolling, but it’s one of the easiest things to change on your bike that can make the entire feel of the bike ride different. Over the years we’ve seen tires smoother than your smoking hot sisters butt to some really agressive tires with more knobs than you know what to do with. We’ve also seen tires go from skinny little 20 x 1.95″ all the way up to 20 x 2.35″ (and even more recently 2.40″) monster truck sizes. One thing we haven’t seen up until recently is something that also helps with safety. Fit recently released their Night Vision version of their popular F.A.F tires that not only will help keep you rolling smooth, but they also have reflective sidewalls that helps make you stand out to car lights and looks pretty rad too. I figured it would be a good time to take a closer look at these guys, so let’s get into it.
