Sneak Peek: Fly Bikes – 2015 Proton Complete

Fly Bikes dropped a preview of their 2015 Proton Complete bike, along with it’s 3 color options; flat Military green, flat Mustard yellow and flat black! Get more info below and check out the other colors after the jump!

“The third bike in our 2015 range of complete bikes, the Proton. For this year we have given this bike a full chromoly setup with the frame, bars and fork, decked it out with Trebol and Flybikes parts and given it three new color options.

The Proton is ideal for taller riders or riders that are looking for a more stable geometry. This bike features a 21” top tube length, a 13.60” chain stay length, a 32mm offset fork and big 8.75” rise bars with a top load stem to bring the bars up even higher. This bike also comes with our Manual brake lever, cable and the new Manual Springhanger brakes.

This bike, along with our full 2015 range of products, will be available in October through all shops and mail-orders that carry Flybikes worldwide!” – Fly Bikes

Sneak Peek: Fly Bikes – 2015 Neutron Complete

Next up on the 2015 Preview from Fly Bikes is their Neutron complete. They’ve gone and upgraded the bike with a 100% chromoly setup, high quality Trebol and Fly parts and two new color options! Above is the Burnt Flat Orange and below is the flat orange with Military Green accents! Get full details below!

“For 2015, we have given our Neutron complete a few new elements to make it even better! For this year we have given the Neutron a 100% chromoly frame, loaded it with new Trebol and Flybikes parts and added some fresh paint! Above is a look at the second of the two new color options; Flat Burnt Orange.

The Neutron Complete is ideal for tech riders or the medium size riders with a 20.6” top tube length, 27-degree offset fork, 8.50” rise bars with a front load stem, 13.20” chain stay length and much more! Not pictured is the Manual brake lever, cable and Manual Springhanger brakes that also come with this bike!

Fly Bikes – Courage Adams Welcome to the Family

It was only a matter of time before Flybikes bumped Courage Adams up to their pro team! Check out this amazing video welcoming him to the family!

“Every once in a while, a rider comes along that’s just able to pick up tricks and overall bike skills quicker, with a better level of control than most, with an evident talent and rate of progression that’s telling of his future. Spain’s Courage Adams name may be new to some, but a lot of you already know his pure drive and enjoyment of riding. We guarantee you’ll be seeing a lot more of this kid in the near future.
Courage has been a part of Fly’s extended crew for a while, but we’d like to officially welcome Courage to the Flybikes Family. This is very well deserved. Congrat’s brother!!

Sneak Peek: Fly Bikes – 2015 Electron Complete

Little by little we’re getting a look at all the goodness Fly Bikes has been cooking up for their 2015 drop. Today they unveiled the 2015 Electron Complete bike that looks to have been given a big upgrade to full chromoly, higher quality parts and a clean flat black color! Full details below!

“Today were very excited to present to you the first look at our 2015 Electron Complete! For this year, we have made the Electron a 100% chromoly setup, upgraded it with all high end Flybikes and Trebol components just like our Neutron and Proton models and given it a new flat black color! The Electron is designed for the smaller riders with a 20.2” top tube length, 13.20” chain stay length, 25mm fork offset, medium 8.25” rise bars and a high top load stem that can be inverted for smaller riders. This bike also comes with our Manual brake lever, cable and new Manual Springhanger brakes which is not in the photo.

The 2015 Electron, along with our full range of 2015 products, will be available in October through all shops and mail-orders that carry Flybikes worldwide! ”

Sneak Peek: Flybikes – 2015 Alta 2 Stem

Today, Flybikes released info on their updated Alta stem that got a bit of a facelift for 2015! The Alta 2 has a higher stack heigh and a few cosmetic changes for a better look! Full details below!

“Some of you may have caught a glimpse of this one when we unveiled our Misty Silver Colorway a few days ago. For 2015, we decided to make a few refinements to the Alta stem to give it a slightly higher stack height and a more aesthetically pleasing look. The Alta 2 will offer a higher 25mm stack height, a 7-degree angle on the bottom to give it a less square look and a recessed top for your fork’s top cap to sit flush. The stem will be available in our new Misty Silver color and black.

Sneak Peek: Fly Bikes – 2015 Manual Springhanger Brakes

Today Flybikes dropped a preview of their new Manual brakes using the “Springhanger” system which essentially removes the springs from the arms and puts it on the bridge cable for easy installation and adjustment. This is one item I personally cannot wait to be able to get my hands on…

“The next item in our 2015 preview is something we have been working on for a few years now and we’re very excited to finally release it! The new Manual Springhanger brakes use our new brake system which eliminates the springs on the brake mounts with an oversized spring as the cable hanger that also creates the tension on the arms.

This concept is very simple. We have removed the copper inserts and springs on the arms with kevlar washers and use the spring to adjust the tension by simply bending the spring inward or outward to your preferred tension. By doing this, we have simplified installation, made adjusting the tension more simplistic and given the brakes a cleaner look.

The Manual Springhanger brakes come with the hanger, spring, arms, brake pads and two sets of bolts; one for welded on and Easy Brake System mounts and another for removable brake mounts.

These will be available in October through all shops and mail-orders that carry Flybikes worldwide!”

Sneak Peek: Fly Bikes – Trueno X Etnies Frame Colorway

Fly Bikes dropped the next sneak peek of their 2015 line for us to check out! This time around it’s the Burnt Orange collaboration color they’re doing with Etnies on the Sergio Layos signature Trueno frame! Get the full details below!

“Here’s a preview of one of the two new color options for Sergio Layos’ 2015 frame! We have teamed up with Sergio and his shoe sponsor, Etnies, for this new Trueno X Etnies Burnt Orange colorway with special graphics that will be available later this year.

The 2015 Trueno frame is made from seamless 4130 chromoly with a 20.6” top tube length, 75-degree head tube angle, 71-degree seat tube angle, 8.5” stand over height, 11.75” bottom bracket height and a 13.40” chain stay length. The Trueno frame features an offset thickness head tube, integrated internal gussets for increased strength, multi-butted and tapered top and down tubes, a multi-butted seat tube, a 4130 chromoly Investment cast seat post clamp with the Horizontal Cut System for improved clamping, Investment Cast bridges on the seat and chain stays, Easy Brake System removable brake mounts and Investment cast dropouts with removable chain tensioners.

The 2015 Trueno X Etnies frame will be available later this year through all shops and mail-orders that carry Flybikes worldwide!”

The previews of Fly Bikes 2015 line keep coming in and it just keeps getting better! Here’s a look at the Montaña X Fiat colorway that they will be dropping later this year! Full details below!

“Next up for our 2015 preview is something we collaborated on with Stefan Lantschner and his sponsor, Fiat. The 2015 Montaña frame will be available in flat black with red graphics inspired by the Fiat 500 Abarth car as one of the two new colorway options that will be available later this year.

The 2015 Montaña frame is made from seamless 4130 chromoly with a 21” top tube length, 75-degree head tube angle, 69-degree seat tube angle, 8.5” stand over height, 11.75” bottom bracket height and a 13.60” chainstay length. The frame features an offset thickness head tube, integrated internal gussets on the top and down tubes, multi-butted and tapered top and down tubes, a multi-butted seat tube, Investment cast seat and chain stay bridges, a 4130 chromoly Investment cast seat post clamp with the horizontal cut system for improved clamping, the Easy Brake System removable brake mounts and Investment cast drop outs with removable chain tensioners.
