The Isla frame is made from full seamless 4130 chromoly with a 75-degree head tube angle, 70-degree seat tube angle, 8.5” stand over height, 11.75” bottom bracket height and a 13.40” chain stay length. The frame features an offset thickness head tube with integrated internal gussets on the top and down tubes for increased strength, multi-butted and tapered top and down tubes, a multi-butted down tube, Investment cast bridges on the seat and chain stays, a 4130 chromoly Investment cast seat post clamp with the Horizontal Cut System for improved clamping, the Easy Brake System removable brake mounts and Investment cast drop outs with removable chain tensioner. The 2015 Isla frame will be available with a 20.8” top tube and a weight of 4.85 lb. (2,200 grams).

The Isla 2 bars for 2015 will now come with a new taller 9.25” inch rise with a 29” width, 12-degrees of backsweep and 2-degrees of upsweep. This gives us a broad range of bar heights from 8.5” – 9.25” in our complete line of bars.

Talking about myself is one of my least favorite things to do and generally I try to stay out of the picture as much as possible, but on very rare occasions there’s something worth posting up for you guys to check out. The other day I was fortunate enough to build up a fresh new setup after spending the past few years piecing together random parts when they needed to be swapped out or when a brand had asked if I wanted to test things out for them. Needless to say, my bike was a complete mix of parts that had spanned over the past 4 years or so making for a pretty weird feeling bike. I’m so thankful that the guys at Fly Bikes sent through a care package to get me dialed back in! Based off the photo above, you can see why I felt this was a good enough reason to show this off. I’ve put together a quick bike check giving you a closer look if you want to see this stainless beauty! Let’s take a look!
