“Welcome again to Freestyle 5. We have a special guest in studio to join us, Joe Loumena. Joe has been an icon in the flatland and old school scene for a long time coming now. If you have ever made the trek to Portland for one of the infamous Enjoy The Trick flat jams you have Joe to thank. We stole Joe away from printing BSR shirts long enough to talk shop on a couple videos.

Freestyle 5 – Episode 5 – Bestwick Interview, Dreamline Interview

“Welcome to episode 5 of Freestyle 5. We are kicking off 2012 with a new format and some big news. We are becoming a weekly show, so we can keep up with the vast amount of killer edits coming out. Expect the same high quality interviews and product reviews to follow. So stay tuned and check in often.
For now enjoy two interviews never seen in public before. The first one is with Redbull’s Anthony Napolitan and Northeast Destroyer Brian Hunt, discussion this past years Redbull Dreamline dirt competition. The second interview is with vert legend Jamie Bestwick. We had a chance to sit down and ask Jamie some questions about his roles as a top podium contest rider and also as tv personality for the dew tour contests; and questions about where bmx has come from and where it is headed. So sit back and enjoy. Because the year has just begun.

Freestyle 5 – United / Wethepeople Mexico Trip

“So here we are; the great moment we have only mentioned a few times; the very first episode of Freestyle5. What is Freeestyle5 you say? Well it’s everything bmx; flatland, vert, dirt, street, park, and whatever else you can create with your little kids bicycles. Freestyle5 encompasses all of these areas in a 15 minute web show, where we discuss the latest and greatest web edits, products, and events. There are interviews with those who make it happen in bmx; including riders, videographers, artists, and more.
Now that you have an idea for the amazing show you are about to watch let’s give you a brief summary of what you can expect in this first episode. Along with discussions and breakdowns of the latest and greatest web edits like Mike Escamilla’s “This is United” section, Haro’s “Chile 8mm” edit, and the adventurous We the people trip to Mexico “Southbound and Down”, you also get an in depth interview with Chester Blacksmith about the We the People trip and all the trials and tribulations that went along with it. Also on the docket is a look at the new Vans / Cult collaborating grip and a quick look at an event for a worthy cause coming up soon in Portland, OR.
