BSD Argetina Jam

The BSD team recently spent some time in Argentina, and during their stay they threw a jam at one of the local parks for everyone to ride with the crew. As expected, they had a huge turn out with riders coming from all over to ride. Here’s a look at what went down!

“The BSD team comprising Gaspar Guendulain, Alex Donnachie, Denim Cox, Antonio Smallwood, Tam Roulston and Trent Lutzke kicked off three weeks in Argentina with a meet up and session at Parque Sarmiento Skatepark in Córdoba city. We were blown away with the turnout and good vibes from everyone on the day. Riders travelled from all over Argentina to ride and hang out with the crew and everyone made us feel super welcome. It’s great to see how strong the scene is in Argentina and how many awesome riders there are, big up to to everyone for coming to hang out and session! Here’s some of what went down over the day…

El equipo de BSD, compuesto por Gaspar Guendulain, Alex Donnachie, Denim Cox, Antonio Smallwood, Tam Roulston y Trent Lutzke, dio inicio a tres semanas en Argentina con una juntada y sesión en el Skatepark del Parque Sarmiento, en la ciudad de Córdoba. Quedamos impresionados por la cantidad de gente que asistió y la buena vibra que hubo durante todo el día. Riders viajaron desde distintos puntos de Argentina para andar y pasar el rato con el team, y todos nos hicieron sentir súper bienvenidos. Es increíble ver lo fuerte que está la escena en Argentina y la cantidad de riders increíbles que hay. ¡Un enorme agradecimiento a todos los que se acercaron a compartir el día con nosotros! A few words from Gaspar about the making of this video and his new signature BSD Focus frame” – BSD

“I decided to make my video in the city where I live, Cordoba, Argentina, located in the centre of the country. It’s a province that represents a very strong BMX scene in Argentina, and I think it’s very important to use spots where I come from. There are also other provinces where we added some clips, such as San Luis and Buenos Aires. But a large part of the video was filmed in and around Cordoba.

Maximiliano Coca filmed this video and we also had extra help from other friends there, and Ciro Costantini took some very good photos.

I’m very happy with the result even though halfway though filming for the video I unfortunately had a near-fatal accident. I had to rehabilitate for approximately four months to feel better again, but finally, its done.

As for my frame, the Focus is very interesting, different from what’s the mainstream today, and I think it looks incredible. I feel stable and at the same time it’s a very easy bike to manoeuvre. I can easily throw whips or be technical even with a 21.5″. I couldn’t be more satisfied with how it feels…” – Gaspar Guendulain

“We’re super hyped to share Gaspar Guendulain’s section from Maxi’s (Maximiliano Coco) ‘Muchacho de Barrio’ — a full-length BMX film that dropped earlier this month.

Here are a few words from Gaspar about the project:” – BSD

““Muchacho de Barrio” is a video we filmed in Córdoba, Argentina — a mixtape featuring many friends from across the country.

I’m really stoked about how this video turned out. Maxi (Maximiliano Coco) has done an incredible job – it’s something that hasn’t been done before in Argentina with this level of detail and effort. It’s an amazing contribution to the scene, immortalising these moments forever.

My part was filmed by both Maxi and Hernán Rimoldi, another filmmaker I had the pleasure of working with. I’m beyond happy with the result. Believe it or not, out of all the places I’ve been in the world, Córdoba has been the most challenging for me to film in. It’s landscapes are incredibly harsh—trust me, haha.

I’m extremely proud to be part of this video and to have so many riders involved. Only we truly understand what those days of fun in the streets meant to us, and capturing these unforgettable moments in our lives is something special.

I’m super grateful for Maxi’s work, to BSD and Vans for their support, and to everyone who contributed to this project born in Córdoba, Argentina!”

Whenever we see a BMX video pop up from Buenos Aires, Argentina, we know we’re going to see something good. The city has endless spots, and there is always some heavy riders rolling through. Here’s a new one from the Apulmon BMX crew that spent a week exploring the spots and stacking clips. Check out what they got into in this real solid video!

“Proyect A Pulmón BMX launches its first official video filmed in the city of Buenos Aires, Argentina for 7 days with Gaspar Guendulain, Maximiliano Coca, Jeremías Gomez and Santiago Melian.
Accompanied by several well-known bikers from BsAs and other provinces of Argentina, they launch the REVOLUTION filmed on the same weekend of May 25, hence the inspiration for the name.
The immense city, impossible to complete in just 7 days, we hope to travel more to be able to take advantage of every incredible corner there is to ride.
