You ever seen Ryan Nyquist do a turndown? Me either… That was until now. Check it!

“X Games BMX gold medalist Ryan Nyquist is always on the lookout for new tricks. In this episode he turns to buddy Seth Klinger to learn the stylish Turndown. Straight from the Freedom 40 Trails in Santa Cruz, California, Seth explains the basics and how to really focus on tucking those bars right into your lap. Ryan gets the hang of it pretty quick after one crucial equipment change out. You won’t believe what was holding him back from really locking these in. Getting Awesome – How to Hang Five

November 13, 2012

It’s kind of crazy to think Ryan Nyquist can’t do every trick in the book. In this new episode of Getting Awesome, with a little help from Mike “Hucker Clark”, Ryan makes hop hang fives look like they aren’t that hard to learn. Take a peek.

“In this episode of Getting Awesome With Ryan Nyquist, Mike “Hucker” Clark returns to show Ryan how to hang five on a BMX bike. An extended nose-wheelie might seem simple enough for a pro like Ryan, but the level of commitment needed to hang five is, well, next level. Ryan eventually gets the trick and progresses up to the manual pad. New episodes drop alternating Tuesdays!” – Network A

Getting Awesome: Episode 2 – Tall Bike Jousting

October 31, 2012

Hahahaha, this is amazing! Ryan Nyquist and his brother, Shea Nyquist, fabricated up some custom tall BMX bikes to do some jousting on them. Needless to say, when something as ridiculous as this becomes a thing, it gets pretty awesome.

“In episode 2 of Getting Awesome, Ryan and friends gather for the Old World manliness celebration of a jousting tournament. With support from Haro Bikes and brother Shea Nyquist, Ryan crafts extra tall bikes and custom Osiris shoe tipped jousting poles. The tournament kicks off with man vs. man elimination rounds until a winner is crowned. Who will be crowned the most awesome knight? New episodes drop alternating Tuesdays!” – Network A

Between all the contests, dad life, filming for edits and now his new series “Getting Awesome” on Network A, there’s no doubt that he’s got himself a full plate. We figured it would be a good time to distract him for a little bit with a few questions to see what’s new with the guy! Check out what he had to say…
