Wethepeople – Jason Phelan Farewell Edit

Well, here’s some news we didn’t quite expect… After 6 years with Wethepeople, Jason and the brand are parting ways! Jason wanted to go out with a bang, so he put together one last video to wish them the best and say thanks for all the support. Needless to say, it ended up being one of his best videos to date! Hopefully Jason will find a new home and keep on gracing us with gold like this! HIT PLAY!

We are sad to say that time with wethepeople has come to an end and we are just happy that he gave so much to the brand, but we know (and Jason knows) that the fun times for him will always continue. “Growing up riding a BMX I always looked up to Wethepeople and then finally getting to ride for such an amazing company was a dream. Now after so many years having a great time travelling all over the globe, making new friends, making memories that will last for ever I’m going to say my goodbyes. I truly appreciate everything Wethepeople have done for me. Harry, Klaus, Rob, Paul, mark, Chris at CSG UK everybody who helped me out (and even bailed me out when I missed flights from other countries or ended up stuck for some reason). Thanks a lot guys you have really fulfilled a big Irish kids dream and its time for me to move on to the next chapter.

Jason Phelan – A Year In My Life 2014

To say that Jason Phelan has a good time would be an understatement. Thanks to his GoPro, we get a look at some of the fun he had on and off his bike last year. This is how it’s done!

“I had an amazing year (2014) travelling Between ten different countries, meeting new people and having a hell of a good time. Throughout my year I took a train trip around Europe, hitchhiked between countries (The Ghetto Games), flew out to various events, camped around Scotland, slept in nice hotels, slept on peoples floors, slept outdoors. I also ruptured my spleen, had to come home early due to getting ill missing out on visiting another country, had a party bus with an onboard DJ bring us to and from a competition (The Baltic Games), lay on the roof of a car going about 70 with a stupid mask on with my friend Ben Murphy at (Fise) Got shot with fireworks (unit23) and all in all had such an amazing year. Thanks to everyone that was part of it and I cannot wait to make another one of these next year. 2014 was Awesome.

“This week’s 10 trick is a little special. Not only do we have Conor Mailey ripping up the insane Unit 23 skatepark in Scotland but the video was filmed by WETHEPEOPLE pro BMX rider Jason Phelan. You know its going to be a little weird and different. Conor is the son of Unit 23’s owner so when we say its his home turf, we really mean it. No idea what the costumes and the stuffed Tigger are all about, but we like their style. Killer riding, killer track, and one helluva song.”

Lost In The Baltics

BMX trips are funny because no matter how much they could fall apart, they always seem to end up being that much better. Jason Phelan and Isaac Lesser spent some time in the Baltics with Andres Lainevool and Talis Viirpalu where they ended up having an amazing trip despite it not going exactly to plan! Take a look!
