The Midwest has been getting real cold, real fast lately. The indoor sessions have been hitting hard already. It looks like August Zeratsky, Grant Castelluzzo, Dylan McCauley, Jeff Dowhen, Jeff Klugiewicz and Brian Fitch made their way over to the Midway Skatepark for a session the other day. While they were there they pulled out the camera and stacked these clips for The Level Below‘s new edit.
Madera – Chicago – Fall 2012 Edit
The Madera team recently met up in Chicago to spend a few days cruising spots and to film for this new edit that turned out so damn good. The last two clips are MASSIVE. Check it!
“Most of the Madera team headed to Chicago for a long weekend and filmed and shot photos the whole time.
It was short, sweet, and successful. Take a look at the team shredding along side some grassroots homies.
Riders: Josh Eilken, Mike Hinkens, Tom Villarreal, Jeff Dowhen, August Zeratsky, Dylan McCauley

Madera – Raw 4Sasons iPhone Clips
Still can’t get over how much brighter it is in 4Seasons now that they changed out the lights, haha. There’s plenty of goodness in this too!
“Its rare that the Madera team and grassroots team randomly meet, so when Josh Eilken, Jeff Dowhen, Mike Hinkens, August Zeratsky, and Dylon McCauley all walked into 4 seasons last night, something had to be done. All we had was an iPhone, but here it is! One clip each of the homies.
Enjoy!” – Madera
The Level Below – Lake Geneva Quick Fix
Jeff Klugiewicz, Grant Castelluzzo and Jeff Dowhen recently made a trip to the new Lake Geneva park in Wisconsin. They got a proper session in while they were there and ended up filming a bunch of clips for this new The Level Below edit. Damn does this place look fun or what?
Racine Jam 2012
Tyler Stephens put together this video from the annual Racine Jam that went down August 18th in Wisconsin. I spy Jeff Dowhen, John Wells, JJ Flairty getting down so that means there had to be good times that went down. Check out the video.
Streets 2
Jeff Dowhen pulled out the flip cam for a few street sessions with Reed Stark, Jeff Klugiewicz and some of the other Milwaukee homies. This makes me miss that city so much. I need a trip there soon.
Insight: Lake Owen Camp
Growing up, I remember getting these random brochures in the mail for Lake Owen and Woodward. I’m sure it was from some mailing list that I got on after buying something online, who knows. Either way, I remember looking at the brochures thinking how amazing those places looked and how much I wanted to go. It was kind of that BMX mecca where all the pros hung out all day and did nothing but ride and have fun. I don’t know what it was, but I never had the balls to ask my mom to let me go growing up. That’s something I’ve definitely regretted over the years because I’m sure if I had, it wouldn’t have taken me all these years to get up to Lake Owen to check the place out. This past weekend I was invited up by BMX director, BSD and Madera rider, and all around awesome dude, Jeff Dowhen to visit for a few days. I knew there was no way I was missing another summer without going to this place, so I loaded up and made the drive into the middle of the woods Wisconsin. I decided it would be rad to give you guys a little look at some of what the place has to offer. Check it out!

This Is The Spot – Jeff Dowhen
Jeff Dowhen’s section from the This Is The Spot video was definitely one of my favorites from the whole video. Jeff in general is an awesome guy on and off his bike, so it’s hard not to love everything that comes from him. Check this one out!
“This is the 6th part I’m uploading from the DVD; it also happens to be the first part in the video. Jeff filmed more than anyone else during the 2 years I filmed for this video and it shows in this section. I think the highlight in this one would be Jeff barspinning a moving bridge.
All of the filming trips and everything for the 2 years I filmed for this video was funded out of my own pocket. I never did it to make money, I just did it because I love doing it. But if you’ve enjoyed the parts I’m putting online I would really appreciate the support by buying a copy. THANKS!!!
